Is there such thing as semi dedicated shared hosting?
Is there a host out there that does shared cpanel hosting but with more resources allowance in terms of CPU and memory usage (php scripts + MYSQL connections)? obviously it would cost more than plain old shared cpanel hosting but would still work out cheaper than chopping up one of my dedis and buying a cpanel vps licence.

Hey @Francisco
BuyShared + Slices. Make it happen :P
Already on buyshared and tbh it seems stacked and phpmyadmin is sooooooo slow
This is a know issue with any ok number of databases. Root side is perfectly fine but cpanel does some nasty sub queries against information_schema.
There has been some reports on the official forums but no real progress on a fix.
For now I've considered a hosted phpmyadmin for now but then users need to know their user/passwords.

Uh, you mean like a setup with guaranteed resources?
No, nobody's ever done that before.
brb...need to search that on motherless.com
I'll add slow query logging to one of my shared nodes later so I can show what I mean.

☒ Saturday Eve/Sunday Morn is when the sarcastic fuckers come out to play.
SELECT * FROM `msg_body` WHERE `content` LIKE '%slice%';
Just found Buyshared has litespeed cache now, great for speed!
Yes for static sites it's fine, I'm not after semi dedicated shared Hosting for static sites though
The cache is specially for Wordpress installs.

Pretty sure it still does something like show databases where names are equal to username_, which takes a long ass time.
LSCache is great. There's the WP plugin which works well, also a couple other pre-built plugins and then a bunch of guides for other CMS's and stuff on their wiki: https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cache

We do offer semi dedicated shared hosting without stacking thousands of customer per node unlike other popular hosts
It's that with some nesting too, it's nasty as hell.
