Any tentative salary for these positions ?
It depends on skills and experience. If you apply and you fit the job description you'll be contacted by HR for an interview and more details.
Thanks!
Is it normal procedure to apply for jobs without even a hint of the compensation ? I am just asking. There should be a starting base slab, which would go up with experience. Correct me if I am wrong.
Ehh, I've seen it both ways in the tech industry. Sometimes a salary is known going in, sometimes it's negotiable based on experience, and sometimes you don't know until you interview and an offer is made. Though, at least any job I've applied for I have at lease scoped out salaries on glassdoor. Probably won't help in this case though, unfortunately.
Edit: would you look at that, there are some estimated salaries on Glassdoor
We hire from all over the world. Salary is dependent on location and skills. We can’t give a base salary when hiring from across the entire globe.
So you mean to say, you offer different salaries to people from different locations for the same job and same skill set?
Which isn't uncommon, compare for example salary in europe to salary in asia.
Nothing wrong with that. In Norway you make $20/hour for working at McDonalds, in the US you make $8.
But he mentioned location and skills.
hi @Junkless how many languages can you speak from the above?
Wow! So get a job for me.
In most civilized countries, if your business entity takes on an employee it needs to adhere to the employment laws of the country the business is located in.
So if that's the case, then discriminating based on country is impossible if it's below your business' country's minimum wage.
But yea, this is lowendtalk...
Thread cleaned of some inappropriate nonsense. Also, there appear to be some entries on glassdoor that offer some insight into potential salaries.
Some of the positions have been filled already but there are still some openings.
If you're interested in a remote job in the web hosting industry submit a job application here: http://hostpapa.applytojob.com/ . HR will reach out with details if the job application and skill set matches the job description. No outsourcing companies will be accepted.
Thanks!
Will people running their own hosting company be accepted?
I too have the same question. Anyhow i have applied a few days back..
If you're running your own hosting company why would you want to get a job? No, people running their own hosting company won't be accepted.
Just because people run companies, doesn't mean they're big enough to make a living out of it, or because it's hard to fill 8 hours a day when everything runs smoothly with a not so big customer-base
Lol. yeah I remember a time about 7 years ago when I probably worked about 3 hours a day cuz it was a small company and everything usually ran smoothly. I made enough to live but cud easily have taken on another job.
WoW!
We got 26 EUR/ DAY (8 Hour)
IT Department, Sysadmin position.
Hungary
Mcdonalds 3 EUR/ HOUR
Surely not 26 EUR/day, seems way too low.
@Nekki - looking for work? You can shout "Oh Papi!" at will.
And Fart Mother.
These job threads always end up the same. Everyone in the world wants EUR 30K minimum a year regardless of experience, availability and other commitments.
