Smallish VPS in Europe with reliable network
VZ Type: KVM or OpenVZ
Number of Cores: 2+
RAM: 512MB+
Disk Space: Any
Disk Type: SSD
Bandwidth: 100GB (Must have low latency around Europe with a reliable network)
Port Speed: Any
DDoS Protection: No
Number of IPs: 1
Location: West Europe
Budget: Cheap as possible (sustainable for the provider, obviously)
Billing period: Monthly to start, Quarterly / Yearly if it works well.
Server is going to be used to run Observium, must be okay with decent CPU usage (not abusive) but must have a reliable network. I'd like to use a new host than the ones I currently use for this. Host must be located in Europe (preferably registered company too.)

OpenVZ or KVM?
@Francisco and buyvm.net will sort you out. The Luxembourg VPS are great!
Edit: corrected the URL! Sorry about that!

Check out our KVM slices! https://buyvm.net/kvm-dedicated-server-slices
Francisco
Already have multiple slices with you guys! Looking for something to monitor them from a different network.
Ah! Thanks for correcting me - fixed my post!
check out arubacloud take DE or UK network is solid
1 Euro month for 1GB RAM / 1Core/ 20 SSD/ 2TB BW
ultravps.eu(Amsterdam) and liteserver.nl come foremost to mind as established providers + solid networks.
with liteserver.nl, you can specifically request an E3 hostnode(single-threaded grunt) especially if you're running observium.
I haven't been monitoring buyvm Luxembourg more than a week, to recommend it yet for an observium node, but they're definitely on the good providers list. >
Other members can comment more regarding their LU network maybe.
I highly recommend waiting for one of dediserve's 1GB kvm specials if you want a launch and forget observium instance for life. (they have plenty of idle cycles apparently , so they can afford to let you use it for legitimate reasons)
Already have a few servers with LiteServer so I can't use them for this purpose, like BuyVM they are really reliable and would recommend them (I use both for production purposes).
UltraVPS looks pretty good, I'll have a look into them.
How much do their specials usually go for / do they do them often?
Check out our Small package:
hostens.eu
Last one was 3.75 euro/m for 1gb/25GB ssd. or 37.5Eur/yr IIRC
see the post history yourself I guess https://www.lowendtalk.com/profile/discussions/13715/dediserve
I like their London Docklands POP for network uptime. Haven't tested Dublin ones, might be better.
OpenVZ or KVM?
