Looking for VPS: kvm ssd 1 or 2 gb ram, 3,2ghz+ cpu in The Netherlands with good connectivity
Hello,
Looking for a KVM/XEN vps
Specs
1 or 2 gb ram
3,2ghz+ cpu
ssd
Locations: The Netherlands with good connectivity
Usage: One company website, our primary business, so uptime needs to be very good.
Server is overkill, but just want to be sure the speed of the server isn't the bottleneck of website performance

You may try verelox.com

Our KVM SSD plans should do the job! :-)
On request we can setup a VPS for you on a node with modern 3,2Ghz+ CPU cores.

What is your budget ?
Yeah, try out @Verelox, their service is really good! Unless you need a lot of disk space (this is sadly their one disadvantage, though my plan has that covered ) you are receiving great speed, especially in the Netherlands (Downloading from leaseweb-servers is like a dream XD). And they use KVM and fast CPUs. (my experience shows that even a single core does everything just fine~)
HostHatch (aff link), as for connectivity https://hosthatch.com/datacenters
They have the lowest priced SSD plan I've ever seen. Kudos:
http://hexodo.nl/ and https://budgetnode.com/ are great suppliers in the Netherlands, happy with them for months now. They have very nice offers if you ask them politely They are both on the forums so check them out.
I don't see it on their website.

edit: looks real but it's just a image :P
It was showing €0.00/hr as the values were being approximated to 2 decimals, but we got it fixed when we saw the screenshot. Thanks @willie and everyone else for the mention; hugely appreciated!
Yes, it was just funny that they rounded the hourly amount to 0.00 and displayed it that way. I wasn't seriously suggesting they were giving out free servers.
Hello,
Our public cloud is availabe in Netherlands
Highly recommend @LiteServer, I have multiple servers with them and no complaints at all!
@rocket,
Thanks for recommending LiteServer! :-)
Highly recommend @LiteServer. Their speed is incredible.
This is kinda interesting. I'm not interested in switching from my Verelox offer as I really like it, but I noticed that almost every VPS provider here, that provides in the Netherlands has got their servers not at EvoSwitch datacentre. I've seen i3d (Verelox is there e.g.) and Equinix as the best examples for huge datacentres with good connectivity, but I think EvoSwitch has the best connectivity there, or is another one better? (probably Equinix might be...) And is there a provider who provides at Evoswitch? (With that I mean like 1gbps connections)
Indeed, many of the offer I have seen are in datacenters with some extra hops. I even tried vultr, 3,6ghz vps (cloudways), but still not major improvement in the speed of my website (compared to shared cpanel hosting). Maybe it was cloudways varnish that didn't go well with my website.
Still looking, and waiting for nodion to set up there platform near Wormer. I have also been with i3d, and indeed it's one of the best (but my vps host called it quits there).
Does anyone have good suggestions for the location of hosting?
how about zomro ?
I already use several vps with them
I see only 100mbit ports.
@royed Did you try to change to CentOS7, OpenLitespeed, Cache Module (more info there) and OpCache ?
You're saying you need for One company website, your primary business, so i think its a good bet. You can allocate diskcache in ram, to do a routine (cron) to clean every xxx min or xxx hours. (Ofc you need to optimize too MariaDB).
As you know the bottleneck of website performance depends on too many factors and network is important but not for 100%, you can have a great network but to have a lamp stack "meeehhhh".. If you start with one "killing setup" like the one explained (+ your preference ofc), you compile php, you enable opcache, you have good chances to reach your goal. Instead you find hundred of great docs online, even from @eva2000
transip.nl has always seemed interesting and it sounds like they have good network in NL. Lots of LETers have gotten their 1TB storage freebies so if they get a paying customer or two from here, that's probably good . I exchanged some emails with them about their Big Data package and they were knowledgeable, friendly, etc. But I ended up getting dedicated servers.
