Seeking resources [as sponsorship] (x-post for a cousin)
Hey all,
My cousin (who lives in Ottawa) is seeking resources as a sponsorship. Currently, they've made the most out of Github Student Pack Program, and are creating a site (PM for details), that is 99% complete, and they've run out of server time from DigitalOcean.
They are seeking:
2 servers, specifications and justification ->
1x 4 GB RAM VPS for Laravel-powered website, 40 GB HDD minimum, 1 IPv4, IPv6 optional (or if you can, announce IPv6 subnet), 2 TB minimum bandwidth
1x 2 GB RAM VPS for NodeJS, handling up to 250 connections at a time, 20 GB HDD minimum, 1 IPv4, IPv6 optional (or if you can account yet another IPv6 subnet), 2 TB minimum bandwidth
Sites expected traffic:
Main - 330 concurrent users every hour, average duration over 20 minutes a time
Node - 330 concurrent users every hour, average duration over 20 minutes a time
Last month statistics (development/closed test only):
Main,Node - 200 concurrent users/hour, average duration over 2 hours a time
It is expected to receive upwards of 2k unique visitors per month, and growing, with over 300 average users per hour.
Please PM for more specific details about this. All software is open source under MIT license.

https://imagine.microsoft.com/en-US/Catalog/Product/99 and https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/member-offers/imagine/ for the ms dreamspark program. Or just get a 20 linode and a $10 linode
What is the project about?
So .. your cousin can't make his/her own requests on LET ?
They can, but they would be a very low account, that'd look suspicious
reverse-shilling
@gcat I can spare the resources for a fellow Ottawan. Shoot me. PM an well work it out
I mean I would argue that if you want to use your reputation to help them out, the better method would be to invite them to the community and vouch in their post rather than posting for them.
Damn, hard crowd.
..and not even a single dig for Node.bs. I'm disappoint.
if you are still looking, PM me, I will be happy to help
