DigitalOcean speeds

Does anyone know the base CPU speed of the DigitalOcean CPU's? Does it vary or are they all above 3Ghz? Are the "high memory" droplet on different processors or is just about RAM?
Comments
Most of the CPUs are actually 1.8Ghz
I'm seeing a lot of 1.8GHz E5-2650L's recently
V1's? I guess it could maybe be V3's.

v3
I've got around a hundred droplets. Most of which are 1.8 - 2.0Ghz.
A quick sample from a few of their PoPs:
All of these are in AMS2:
All of these are 512MB's. I don't have enough higher memory ones (<10) to make any conclusive statements.
I wonder if I create a bunch of droplets (and then destroy them) if I could try and nab some more 2.4's :P
Checked a 16GB High Memory instance in NYC3:
Digital Ocean is like shit.
@jarland
Not everyone needs an E3 processor
You mean THE SHIT , like the best? No worries I know it was a typo.
I think the option for a CPU instance (E3 Cores) would be nice. Standard droplets, high ram droplets, high cpu droplets, and maybe even high disk droplets (like Vultr's storage instance, not with block storage). @jarland

I did
Let it never be said that I stand in the way of expression of opinion. I try to only step into DO threads to answer questions if not previously answered correctly, or to correct misinformation
This is correct. These particular CPUs are at their best when multi threading is in play.
But I guess the main idea was to keep the energy-bills low?
Not sure on the motivation to be honest. I can say that I don't receive many complaints of CPU performance though. At least, reports of it haven't increased since using these in new build outs.
@jarland I tagged you in case you could rectify the problem
Anyway, those E5-2xxxL are meant for performance... everyone knows that!
Remember, you have to keep your instances for a certain amount of time. I think it is 15 minutes or something before destroying them.
You don't have to, but if the message is "Please don't flood the system" then I agree
Offtopic: I sometimes try stuff with multiple instances for 4~6 hours but then I destroy them all in about 3 mins. Is it a problem ? Should I have a certain delay between each one of them ?
Perfectly fine
