New Plans - The Time Is Now! - 128MB / 256MB for $13.33 / year [Dallas][Toronto]
ProvisionHost.com
http://provisionhost.com
It has been quite some time since I posted our last offer. Over the past few weeks we've been doing a tremendous amount of restructuring at Provision Host. This includes resolving specific network issues in our Toronto location and thinking through different products and services you guys may be interested in. Since Provision Host was established in 2010, we've always focussed on offering great value to clients. In doing so, we've made it a commitment as a company, to continue striving for this. And quite frankly, other competing companies charge a medium - high end amount for the exact or similar services we offer. This is where we truly stand out and what has continued to drive forward our success.
Today I present to you, two new plans (1 for each location)! This is exclusively for the LET community. The specifications are below...
PHVPS.25 Plan
Dedicated RAM 128MB
Burstable to 256MB
5GB Disk Space
500GB Bandwidth
SolusVM Control Panel
Tun / Tap Enabled Upon Request
OpenVZ
Annual Cost: $13.33 USD
Toronto Location Order: Order Now
Dallas Location Order: Order Now
Now at a first glance these specifications of this plan may not be tremendously persuading or anything special. However, what really makes our VPS server line stand out is simply the facilities we are in. In addition, to the networks that are accompanied with them. If uptime and redundancy is of utmost importance to you, we've got that covered. At this time we are offering two locations with the new plans. Toronto, which has been our most popular on LET, and Dallas.

I only see one. Unless by plans you mean locations.
Sorry for the confusion. I count them as two new plans as there is 1 for each location.
Native IPv6 available in Toronto ?
At this time no but it is in the works.
I do need something in Canada to add to the VPS farm...got a test IP?
Got one today, excellent so far. Go Canada
traceroute toronto.provisionhost.com
Make the price $13.37 and I'll consider buying one.
Yep toronto.provisionhost.com is the one to use.
Great to hear!
I will keep this in mind the next time I bring this offer again.
I tried that one earlier, but got 100% packet loss pinging that URL. I'll have another go later, must be something silly from my end.
Ah ICMP replies were disabled. I've re-enabled them for you.
Looks like a phenomenal network for low latency. Note that Peer1 has tons of connections at major peering points in the US.
Here's the upstreams for Peer1, big list:
http://bgp.he.net/AS13768
Pings are low from all over.
From Seattle or Vancouver to end point in Montreal = 61ms. I never see such low latency coast to coast down in the United States.
These are ping average times to the Montreal location:
38ms from North Carolina
28ms from Buffalo (that's rather high considering the distance)
30ms from Atlanta
22ms from Kansas City (pretty amazing considering the distance)
39ms from Dallas (pretty amazing considering the distance)
60ms from Las Vegas
39ms from my home connection (pretty low considering)
102ms from Italy
253ms from Singapore (183ms of that is between SG and Los Angeles)
Here is a ServerBear Benchmark for a PHVPS.25 in Toronto.
Welcome to Peer1. We have European clients who get better latency to our Toronto location than other server locations in Europe. They've been amazed by that.
Thank you for taking the time to run this bench mark.
@Brandon the link to your TOS is broken, and I couldn't find an AUP, so could you confirm if private VPN use is allowed?
I am looking for a VPS with Canadian geolocated IP, but according to MaxMind database, your Toronto test IP ( 76.74.195.244 ) is in USA. Do you supply Canadian IP's at Toronto location for the actual VPS?
+1 for this, I'm also looking for a canadian IP.
+2 for the Canadian IP proper geolocation.

Yes a VPN for private use is completely fine. As long as you are using our services for lawful purposes, we have no issues at all.
This has been brought to my attention recently by clients. I am already looking into why the IP information is not reflecting the proper location. I've sent in a request to Peer1 and you should expect this to be sorted out some time this week.
On a side note, and what I find strange, is that other geo-IP tools do in fact show that it is a Canadian IP.

However, the ARIN WHOIS says otherwise which is likely how MaxMind gathers their data. Rest assured, this will be resolved ASAP.
Any updates on the geoIP? It's still not working on maxmind and most sites are using that data (cbc for example).
Yes the IP information has been SWIPed and we're waiting for it to update.
Hi Brandon,
My location also appears as New York, instead of the Toronto one which I ordered today. I sent you a ticket about it.
I believe your ticket has been replied to!
Yes, thank you, waiting for MaxMind update.
No problem and if you have any more questions you're free to contact us at any time.
