VPS suitable for hosting Dropbox replacement?

Hi, I am looking for a low-end VPS option which is suitable for hosting Seafile for personal use. So I would like to have:
- a lot of space (at least 100GB)
- a lot of bandwidth
- less than $10/mo. (if possible)
I had been using the Storage VPS offered by HostHatch, which was only $5/mo. and 250 GB storage. This was an amazing deal but unfortunately after a few months they disabled my account with no explanation, and are not even replying to my support ticket anymore. I assume that they don't want people running Seafile, though I don't really understand why.
Anyway, I would appreciate any recommendations for VPS's where it's OK to run Seafile.

Hello,
You can check our KVM HDD Limited plan - 200GB storage, $4/mo - wishosting.com
Hello,
We can offer:
KVM STORAGE 1 1 GB 1 CPU 200 GB SATA 10Mbps Unmetered hourly $0.0069 or monthly $5
Yep, HostHatch doesn't like Seafile and similar programs https://forum.seafile.de/t/high-i-o-by-seafile-server-causes-vps-to-be-suspended/2891
Check http://www.prometeus.net/site/iwsea.php as an option. Their offer custom KVM plans too http://www.prometeus.net/site/custom-vps.php A small dedi might also be an option.
This is an excellent product OP. Using the 200Gb plan for my library syncing.
You know prometeus isn't going anywhere in next 10yrs
Thanks everyone! All these options look very interesting, I decided to try Prometeus iwSea.
https://www.wholesaleinternet.net/dedicated/ - $10 month for 500GB of space and no neighbours to worry about.
If you need 500GB, why not just use dropbox? You get 1TB for $8.25 a month. Throw in $4 more dollars a month and you have unlimited space.

On the other hand, Google charges just as much for about the same amount of space

You can also look into Amazon where storage is even cheaper.. they may charge you for bandwidth, but even then I don't think it would cost more than $10 a month. They have offers with credit, anywhere from a few months to a year of free hosting. Sometimes you can call and talk to them and they will give you credit for signing up after a phone conversation.

Now I do realize I listed a bunch of options where you are paying for the service over setting it up on your own. If your argument is that you want to keep it private... well your hosting provider can see everything you have anyways. I doubt they are as reputable as these 3 companies. And if you really insist... you can stalk the KS-1 Kimsufi server with 500GB at $6/month ($13.99 one time setup fee) and host seafile on that.
$10 for 250GB and I see $15 for 500GB. Are they running a promo right now that requires you to use a code?
@cheapwebdev - that breach at dropbox sure makes them reputable and trustworthy - maybe they should host with you on your single drive kimsufi instead? How many AWS calls have you had to extend credit beyond their free year? and the KS-1 is 7 if you looked at the page in the past month. AWS Glacier is $4/TB and $90/TB for bandwidth. 100 GB is $9 for bandwidth. The op didn't say what company he wanted to host with - I can list 2 that I would say are as reputable as what you listed and also answer tickets very fast. Seems more randomness.
Have another look at the page.
Huh...and Atom plan for $10 with a 500GB drive was there earlier, including after you posted initially. Maybe I had a cached version at that point, because I went back and checked....
The atom plan was in stock today it disapears insted of going red.
If you are going to use it for your own cloud hosting I suppose you have good reason why not using dropbox probably one reason is privacy if so they you must make sure you sign up with a reputable big company that not any body get tempted to go through your files I mean make sure you go with a company that is reputable not just cheap
Why not go with https://www.hetzner.de/hosting/produktmatrix/storagebox-produktmatrix ?
Seafile Pro (3 user free) + OVH Object Storage = :happyness:
BuyVM would be my recommendation. Serious people, stable service.
the bandwidth is not much
We can do the following plan:
1GB Memory
250GB Storage
2 vCPU Fair Use
5TB Bandwidth
Xen HVM Virtualization
1 IPv4 address
Unrestricted usage = You can use as normal VPS - without any resource limitation of fuss
£5 p/m
Atom is back, motherfarters!
