    Sorry I'm not affiliated with Virmach. I just looked up their past deals. Also I don't think they operate any servers in Africa.

    Yes, they have definitely made it an exciting year... I'm not sure how they are pulling off these deals -- but it is good for us (maybe not for their business pocketbook though!)...

    Most realistic usage would probably be a proxy; it works great.

    OpenVPN will work at lower speeds (anything close to/over 100mbps and you'll want 128mb at least), ssh proxy. Static sites with lighttpd or nginx.
