Cloud KVM Storage BETA
Hello,
Hopefully this is in the correct place, if not @jarland feel free to move!
Looking for a couple of well known LET users to trial (1 - 2 Month's) a new Cloud KVM Storage service, the plan once launched will be within the LET $ band!
Looking for people who have a valid use case for the VM and can provide valid and useful feedback on all areas of the service, not looking for users who want a free 2 Month seedbox as this will cause instant termination.
Starting you will have access and control to VM via WHMCS, however part the way through we will also provide our own Control Panel which will also need feedback on during the BETA.
Specs:
-1TB CEPH Storage
-1GB DDR4 RAM
-2TB Outgoing Bandwidth (Not limited during BETA period)
-Unmetered Incoming Bandwidth
-KVM Environment
-1 x E5 2620V4 CPU (1/2 Guaranteed)
-Fully HA
Looking for feedback wise:
-Performance of all resources and levels
-Any suggestions on package specifications
-Suggestions and feedback on custom Control Panel
-Anything else you have
If your a well known LET user and interested please comment saying PM'd, and PM me your info and use case for the VM, looking at late next week for setup of accounts.
Thanks

You are telling me you can do 1TB storage within $7/mo? Can I ask what locations and am I a viable test dummy?
PM'd
most probably: Frankfurt/Germany
I know he is a bit of a Germany fan haha. Was praying it was like UK but Germany would do very well. Good alternative to KS this.
They've previously had LET offers in the past with 1TB it seems very doable. It will probably either be at their German DC or at Hetzner like their current storage ones.
I'd enjoy a non-hetzner german dc, then I could just mount it on my hetzner dedi at decently low latency
What does Fully HA mean? since you are using the network of 23media, is it real geo ha ? cause they offer space at telehouse in frankfurt and also at globalswitch in frankfurt. and will it be ddos protected (23media offers voxility protection) ?
Do you really expect Geo HA for $7 / TB?
we are still on lowendtalk :P
1/ Will be hosted at our COLO with 23Media in Telehouse Frankfurt.
2/ Will not be GEO HA, but HA at Storage & Compute level.
3/ Will be on our own network setup which attaches directly to 23Media Core Fiber ring around Germany.
sounds nice so we finally get a lowendHA marked
what is the difference about this and your actual backup vps?
When you say backup VPS do you mean your LET Storage deals we have done in the past?
yes.
They was : OpenVZ, Hetzner Consumer Hardware, Cold Storage designed
These are : KVM, HA, Enterprise hardware, faster storage for more than just backups
Could you explain a bit more details regarding the storage configuration? SSD/HDD, RAID configuration, Cache? IOPS limits? Internal network bandwidth for Ceph?
These are : KVM, HA, Enterprise hardware, faster storage for more than just backups
for actual customers, there was an email about a upgrade to KVM, then after that upgrade, will be pretty similar to this ones?
im really happy with those servers, with 100% uptime
-CEPH SSD Write Cache Layer
-CEPH SAS Backend Layer (Replication 3)
-LET Offer looking at 500IOPS with 1000IOPS burst, however this will be something that will be reviewed and refined during the BETA
-Network is 20GBPS per a node FRONT & BACKEND network.
That is correct, all LET Special customers are being moved to similar setup with them moving away from OpenVZ, this is basicly the new v2 LET Storage Special for the future, the old one will no longer be re-sold.
Pm sent.

I'm currently on one of your LET storage deals and it hasn't let me down once, you provide a great service. I'm super excited for what will come of this - fingers crossed!
PM'd XD
@AshleyUk, are you using det.io panel?
No custom frontend designed around Proxmox API + some extra where Proxmox does not provide.

Ok, so from everyone who PM'ed, how many aren't actually planning on using this to house their porn collection to stream via Emby?
My "collection" won't fit
