We all saw that coming, didn't we ?
I would appreciate if they have had placed some specials to selebrate it
Brand new unused location
How is NL port speed? Please share if you bought from them.
Nice. Will give it as try for a project I have in mind. Was wondering how long it'd take them after they started offering their dedis in AMS.
The ams location and the 2.99 priced.
Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Retrieving speedtest.net server list...
Testing from ONLINE SAS (..**.)...
Selecting best server based on latency...
Hosted by Orange (Paris) [1.88 km]: 14.537 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 514.23 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 85.79 Mbit/s
Peering to German Endusers is as shitty as their PAR location ... I tested downloadspeed from 2 different german cities with different providers and didnt get more than ~12.00 Mbit/s
Brand new VC1 deployed in AMS1:
Just got a mail from them...
the pricing is mouthwatering I must say... though I'd like to know how it really performs.
They say in their FAQ the VPS is KVM
Baremetal X86 are also very competitively priced.
Need some Test IPs for AMS1 location and check latency to US (East + West). Please share your benches!

oops...! didn't notice that thread!! sorry for the duplicate.
I read the title as "Global Domination"
That peering
Do they offer basic DDoS Protection in this location like they do in France?
They call it Netherlands but its routed over France, total shit.
I've bought 2.99 server for testing. The IP given located on paris. WTF?
How much it will cost if I destroy this with in 1 hour?
Still awesome France backhaul utterly defeats the point of an NL location
Bit of local peering, however as most said it still routes through France for most routes.
I can't see this changing any time soon due to costs of them having multiple uplinks to the same providers in two locations... but they may surprise me.
200ms and around the world from Amsterdam to Amsterdam
when did you test this ? from which IPs/ISPs ?
we have a peering with DTAG (in Paris for now, hopefully in AMS soon)
an agreement with UPC (aorta) has been found,
a fix should be deployed in a few weeks hopefully
(most likely in 2 steps, Paris peering then AMS peering)
Anyone know if they'll offer those arm C1 boxes in Amsterdam as well?
Nope they don't offer it.
Yesterday from Unitymedia in Düsseldorf and 1und1 (DTAG reseller) near Cologne
C1 is not offered in Amsterdam, only France, but din't Scaleway got the bang on release for advertising ARM?
Everything is routed from France, but it's Amsterdam datacenter, am I the only one who just can't understand them?
Reserved IPs are in France, but for Amsterdan, with a dedicated tab to Amsterdam... why go through all this trouble if traffic is routed through France? Might as well let users have many reserved IPs and choose whatever location they want only for cloud servers.
And the big question: where is reserved IPv6, because It was promised more than a year ago?
Edit: this reminds me of the old Scaleway video on youtube:
Great news! thanks @mikmak
@vfuse Same here. As long as your Scaleway AMS server is communicating with you,
your other servers or your clients via either Scaleway's AMS-IX or NL-IX POP its fine.
As the majority of Dutch internet users are connected via Ziggo - Liberty Global Operations B.V. (Aorta).
A server at the Scaleway AMS location is quite useless until the solution becomes effective.
Because its communicating by default via the world loop from Amsterdam to Amsterdam.
(Ziggo Amsterdam - Cogentco World - Scaleway Amsterdam).
I am interested in the MTRs then

The C1s suck anyways, their x86 VPS line is much, much better
