Buying SSL certificate
Hi,
I want to buy a SSL certificate for mostly personal use. I tried startssl, but I think I messed something up with subdomains so I have to wait for the current one to expire to get another one. (Revocation costs money.) I am not shy of spending a couple bucks on a certificate though, but I want to have a good deal. It needs to be accepted on most browsers and cell phonesand not that expensive. So far I found two resellers which aren't that expensive:

and
https://www.thesslshop.com/rapidssl
But I have never bought an SSL certificate before, so I was hoping someone could advise me a bit. Thanks in advance.

They are both selling rapidssl certs. Those are the same certs. Those certs are just fine - I use them.
I personally use namecheap for SSL. THey process and active SSL within 30 mins.
Also remember to register domain with www prefix so you can have both www and non-www domain protected in the certificate.
Globalsign, Verisign, Comodo, Trustico
You can have multiple certs for each of your domains at StartSSL. You can probably salvage what you have there.
There's essentially no difference whatsoever between Comodo's PositiveSSL and GeoTrust's RapidSSL, so you may as well just buy whichever's cheaper. The site Cirium linked has probably the best prices, like a basic PositiveSSL cert for 2.95:

It might be worth emailing StartSSL if you think you messed something up, though -- they're generally pretty helpful even with free certs.
Yea I messed up on that :0
