KVM Network Adapters

We've had a few tickets complaining about slow network speed, and not being able to access the full shared gigabit that we advertised.
100% of the time, they've been using the 100mbit realtek network adapter.
We've even had a customer cancel their VPS, with the reason being "False advertising, network is artificially capped to 100mbit". Turns out that their VPS was using the realtek adapter.
How many times have you gotten tickets about this, and how do you inform your customers to use the Intel or VirtIO adapters?

In the welcome/product email, in the knowledgebase, etc. Also, set the default adapter to Virtio in SolusVM.
Never knew you could set the default adapter. Thanks!
Yeah virtio is definitely the way to go with disk/network drivers. Can be a pain on Windows, however.
I have several KVM provider which is set the default adapter to virtio
Prometeus reviews and manually sets things just to make sure.
The provisioning is not instant for kvm because of this, tho, so some script to choose function of os would be a nice thing
