Dacentec Account: Termination
I received an email from Dacentec with the subject Account: Termination
this morning and almost shit myself. I have 3 services there and canceled one of my servers last week because I completed the projects it was for. I logged into their billing panel to verify the server had been canceled and not my entire account. They may want to consider a new subject line for canceled services.

It was mostly comedy and a small warning to other clients. I love Dacentec...just got a shock this morning.

It also included the domain, but note the line that says "Your hosting account with us has been terminated". That's enough for me to want to check the billing panel.

It's not my intent to complain. I wanted to share the fact I saw this and almost shit myself.
Thank you for contacting us, sadly I'm not equip to review your previous ticket without the correspondence number. As you see, we use Base64 encryption here on everything, therefore we need the ticket number.

I don't see @Xenos as bashing Dacentec or trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.
I can see why he got nervous, specially with the email coming a few days or a week after cancelling.

I've had the same experience long term. I always check them first when I need a server.
Elvis died on the shitter, but I doubt there were any emails involved.
Yes, the same happened to me and I got scared too heh.
That's why the subject says "Account: Termination" and not "Account Termination".

Now what would be really funny is if they saw your post and decided to play another game with you and remove the servers from your control panel and show them canceled.
