Mini F.A.Q

Q: How can you offer such low prices?

A: Why not? By having our own hardware and network equipment we can offer very good ratio between service price and quality. VPS XS price is lower then your daily coffee cup. Check it.

Q: How long are you in business?

A: More then 12 years and counting. Rock solid.

Q: Can I receive discount?

A: Do you really need one? Just look at our Annually or Biennially prices. Calculate. Are you feeling bad by asking for additional discount?

Q: Do you have IPv6?

A: At the moment - no.

Q: Do you allow...?

A: Check our TOS: http://www.time4vps.eu/tos.php

_Q: when will you offer KVM, XEN?

A: It's a planned feature. No ETA.

    No IPv6

Even Africa has IPv6 by now...

Recommendation: Do not buy. Do not support backward providers blocking change as required. If they really wanted IPv6 they could get it and implement it in a matter of hours with zero help of the DC.

Such amazing knowledge of network / provisioning platform infrastructure! This quote will be printed and sent straight to the NOC team as de facto for IPv6 implementation. Damn... Even Africa has it?

  • here in Finland i asked my ISP "sonera" and no IP6 yet!

Typical Low End provider sarcastic bullshit. Instead of being passive aggressive, why not tell people why you're not serving it or at least make up that you are? Whatever you do, do it nicely. I've never seen any other category of business seriously think so little of potential customers. You're making money here, you're not the only provider.

dailymc said: why not tell people why you're not serving it or at least make up that you are?

    Few reasons:

    • DDoS protection for IPv6;
    • Real demand for IPv6, not only "I just want it to have...". Real problem with IPv6 - customers who demands this feature just doesn't use it. Simple as that.

For now - we will better focus on features that are really important for 99% of our customers, rather than waisting time, money and man power implementing feature which will not be used by 99% of our customers.

However, IPv6 is planned feature nonetheless and it will be implemented.

The IOPS throttling should get rid of the torrenters soon.

    DDR4 comparing to DDR3:

    • Faster speeds
    • Improved reliability
    • Increased capacity

I've been a client of time4vps for quite some time with multiple vps. Extremely pleased, value for money is the best in the market in my opinion.

And the reason I'm posting my tiny endorsement here is @william 's pointless attack for no good reason. If I want to join a useless network like IPv6, I will find a provider that offers me that - I wouldn't go bitching on provider threads because the world doesn't agree with my world view.

Mexico hasn't. Only big providers, so i dont care if VPS dont have ipv6, ISP doesnt seems to give ips to customers in 1-2 years.

  • deadbeef said: If I want to join a useless network like IPv6

That's the problem. You can be IPv6 ready it doesn't mean anything except geek fun as you'll anyway have to be IPv4 ready too to be accessible by most clients.

No real need to use ipv6 before a few years, sadly (or not, how come would that really matter?)

Not true. We are talking about datacenter here - Not end users. Telmex has IPv6 for datacenter services, i even enabled that with their Chile branch back in 2014 for a transport link Santiago (CL) - Balboa (PA) - Mazatlan (MX) to one of EDIS's upstreams in Vina del mar.

time4vps said: Such amazing knowledge of network / provisioning platform infrastructure! This quote will be printed and sent straight to the NOC team as de facto for IPv6 implementation. Damn... Even Africa has it?

Heh, i like you. You are funny. Not.

Yes, i obviously know more than you, else you'd have IPv6 by now (LOL #REKT)? Don't you even own the DC or the ISP in there or something? You have, and everyone here hopefully will agree (else they are idiots), zero reason to not implement it:

    • Your upstreams HAVE native and 100% coverage (no Cogent/HE split) IPv6 (proof, proof) with REDUNDANT upstreams across both

    • You HAVE (or your DC has) a /32 RIPE IPv6 netblock, even ROUTED (proof)

    • Your switches/routers support IPv6 (else your HW sucks, plain and simple.)

    • Your virt technology supports it (even with subnets by now)

    • Your management software supports it

i'd also like to take a second to inform you who you are talking to with this bs - i did exactly this in the last 5 years and enabled multiple countries with next to ZERO upstream IPv6 coverage (Chile (End user few %, DC few %), Isle of Man (both 0%!), Israel (few % each), Spain (DC 50%, End user few %)) at EDIS with native IPv6 or first a tunnel to a near location (BR+US for CL, UK+NL for IM, FR+NL for ES) in a fully redundant setup (BGP via SIT/GRE tunnel) and later migration to native IPv6 (with less than 15min downtime) after working with the DC to implement it (FOR FREE EVEN!) (done in IL, done in IoM, done in Spain, pending Chile) plus enabled stable IPv6 anycast - which is a miracle by itself with the size of HEs network - with native v6 in not one but TWO African countries and TWO South American ones for Rage4.

I never spent more than an hour configuring this either.

    time4vps said: DDoS protection for IPv6;

What are you talking about, you have no (good) protection for v4 either? All modern filtering appliances (Tilera for example) do v4 and v6 in hardware, the ASICs are not limited to 32bit string comparison and alike, again, this is 2015 - i could probably filter a Gbit traffic on an iPhone 6S.

Nullroutes on v6 work the same as v4 if not faster/more reach due to the massive involvement of HEs network.

Better inform yourself before stating crap, especially if you represent a company...

time4vps said: Real demand for IPv6, not only "I just want it to have...". Real problem with IPv6 - customers who demands this feature just doesn't use it. Simple as that.

Ok, now you explain us why you do not "waste" (because thats what you think it is) 30 minutes (MAXIMUM!) to either:

    • Obtain a /48 from your ISPs/DCs /32 netblock and route into your vlan, configure in panel to give out single IPs or subnets
    • Announce a /48 from you and do the same
    • Obtain a HE tunnel and give out IPs or /64s from that /48
    • Obtain a HE BGP tunnel and route a /48+ there, then same

deadbeef said: And the reason I'm posting my tiny endorsement here is @william 's pointless attack for no good reason

I like to attack people, might be historical. I worry once i also get the urge to build settlements in the west bank and bulldoze some houses, uh... until then all is fine.

I do/did not break any rules and did, in this case, even stay friendly - if i did i would be banned or the posts removed or at least warned - what you think is, and that is very nicely spoken, not within interest sphere.

Even LEB by now - technically, we just ignore that @mpkossen broke his promise, which was not unexpected with CC involvement anyway, administration is not more than CC puppet here - lists only IPv6 enabled providers.

Every major service is IPv6 enabled - even outside EU/US.

IPv6 services are partly free (like Usenet access).

IPv6 routes are - partly - less congested or use more favourable upstreams (especially in Asia).

IPv6 is, due to address space and unknown assignment size of the ISP, much harder to track and link to specific users.

IPv6 is nearly endless, you can create thousands of VMs without NAT with just a single /112.

I could go on for hours here what the advantages are, but luckily others already wrote that down and i can rather smoke some more and drink some coffee instead.

    http://www.networkcomputing.com/networking/six-benefits-of-ipv6/d/d-id/1232791?

    http://linuxpoison.blogspot.co.at/2009/01/advantages-of-ipv6-next-generation.html

TL;DR Autoconf, no NAT, less routing involved.... etc.

    --

Simple: IPv6 is the future. Don't want to implement it now? Fine, but then don't complain in 5 years when you have zero idea how to do it and loose business because if it (which you do now already, even if you don't believe me).

GRE/SIT to HE and get a /48. Takes 5minutes max, your router likely even has a special interface for it. http://tunnelbroker.net

I gladly configure it for you with /64s in LAN (and local DNS to prevent censorship if desired) via teamviewer/RDP or similar.

mpkossen said: Which promise did I break?

I clearly remember the - now presumably gone - posting in one thread promising to only allow IPv6 enabled listings on LEB (might have been LET; regardless as it is not enforced here either, as we see in this thread) if thanked enough (which was easily topped x2 or more then). I have a screenshot somewhere, but @kcaj is probably faster with it.

Thus, clearly, promise broken or you never had the power to state/implement it in the first place - One indicates you have zero power over anything and that someone else runs the show, the other that you are not reliable in this regard.
