Online.net Limited edition 4815 - an excellent deal
Hello,
Online.net just released an excellent deal - Limited edition 4815
https://console.online.net/en/order/server_limited
I've recently renewed my KS-3 for 14.99 euros upto Jan 2016 end, therefore, unlikely to buy this one, even though the 1 Gbps is tempting.

Limited edition 4815 Intel Xeon E3 1230 8 GB 2 x 1 TB 1Gbps/sec 42 units @ 19 €
GOT IT! Finally I can quit my OVH dedicated!
Ordered and has already been delivered!
Is KVMoIP included?
Shame their IPs are so expensive...
I've ordered one. So social. So much share. So much spending splurges. Whatever splurges means.
IDRAC yep.
They used to have better offers than that.
Thanks a ton , got 3 of these , never know when will they pop next .
Yeah , they have had better offers before .
Still having one Dedibox Limited 1215 - same price. It only has a E3-1220, thus no hyperthreading, but twice as much memory and hard disk space. The 1215 is HP hardware, while this offer seems to be Dell (IDRAC).
not bad for a 4 core xeon i guess. but you can buy these chips for about £70 now anyway
Here are the specs now:
https://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/dedibox-limited4815
Doesn't seem right though. The order link states E3 1230, while the specs page says E3 1220 v2.
Well, CPU is another one though.
If they added a 2x120GB SSD option like the last offer, i will get a few more of these , but 16GB + 2X2TB , would make these the best server porn for me.
Okay, now I feel cheated. I clearly ordered a E3-1230 and what did I receive?
That's not okay at all.
Putting a screenshot in here just in case they change it later:
they are pretty much the same
At least it's v2, that's better than v1.
edit: but still worse than e3-1230v1 according to cpubenchmark.net
They are not, the 1230 has hyperthreading, the 1220v2 doesn't.
If you are unhappy with the 1220, then go and just refund it.
I do not have a problem with this 'issue' tbh.
HT has no benefits in this case (maybe 5-10% benchmark increase) plus this is a ivy bridge CPU which is faster
If they want to sell 1220 , they should mention it in their offer.
The 1230 is ~30% faster than the 1220v2.
No HT and 100 MHz freq difference: http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare_CPUs/Intel_CM8062307262610,Intel_CM8063701160503/
Online.net looking out for my spending habits. Can't order without confirming cell phone, SMS not received
Maybe the V3 version.. but not the case here. infact my own tests have shown the CPU's are indeed faster with HT off
@rm_
remember the v1 and v2 difference (the v2 will have faster single thread performance)
maybe they ran outta stock?
Anyone want to outsource one to me? I'm very keen to stick you with a Windows license charge for hoarding limited servers you don't need
I say this, then they call me and confirm it within 5 minutes of opening a ticket. I love online.net.
Want me to order one for you? Seriously! You are one of the very few people here who I would trust enough to outsource the server without worries.
