@LaKid
What node is that on?
Thanks
@ChrisK Dallas-KVM-Reg-3
[root@kvm-3-dallas-reg ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync; unlink test

This is under load.
I don't care what problems you're having, but trying to bad mouth other hosts to make the best of a bad situation is extremely unprofessional.
@ChrisK 128 MB/s ? I don't know where you got that number, here is my another I/O.
Sorry, still running, you have to wait. I will post it as soon as it finishes.
maybe he needs to login to your vps LAKid
@LAKid
VirtIO enabled?
I don't know what customer you are, I suggest you submit a ticket so a staff member can look into this.
Thanks
@ChrisK VirtIO enabled, and I/O test is still going, you could imagine what kind of number will come out by now, don't you? I won't post it again, but rather than spending time here, you'd better fix this I/O crap, it's too slow to do anything.
@LAKid is there a ticket opened?
@netomx Yup..
Ok, that was a thing I thought you were missing. Sorry lady
@LAKid
There is multiple staff members dealing with tickets currently, it will be answered shortly.
Thank you
@LAKid What OS are you using?
We have had some issues with select Operating Systems.
@LV_Matt Debian 6, I'm trying to reinstall but hanging at "installing the base system" right after time zone. It just stuck at "unpacking tzdata" and not moving at all.
S***, forget it, just turned off.
I've only seen that on a KVM node when **** happens or ****.
I'm unaware how to run a superior network, only a stable one.
@LAKid
If there is a ticket opened a staff member will deal with this.
Lol, I almost want to buy a VPS from them, just to test their superior network
how bad it is.Keep this thread going. Best thread on LET.
There have been better but it has potential
M
Now I/O is about 2.9mb/s, improvement, isn't it?
@LAKid I bet that's with full IO priority as well :X
I had a KVM with them, I cancelled it within 4 hours as linux was only 30% installed after 4 hours.
They then too 48 hours to process a refund
Oh, windows installation gave an error, and when I told them about the 4 hours and it still not being installed and windows not working, they avoided the IO problem by saying
"Hello,
Please try the linux images, while we fix the windows images. We will update you soon.
Thanks"
@StormVZ It was and it is.
I suspect it took 4 hours due the awesome IO performance, not the images theirself.
@Alex_LiquidHost
I should imagine so. I didn't even manage to test the IO as I never got it set up.
@LAKID, @Alex_LiquidHost
Must be his rack, a complex mesh topology of these:
@StormVZ
Thanks for your useful post, now please leave this thread.
I/O is over 150MB/s on that node.
If he has submitted a ticket a staff member will look further into this issue.
I have noticed KVM VPS don't get the I/O they should be getting (150+MB/s)
Our Xen VPS have no problems getting 150MB/s
Thanks
@eastonch
I've seen your rack, it looks like a mess..
This is one of our racks.
