http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1146454 Been around for a while, actually knew someone that had one and played around with it. Damn it was certainly quick.
"AMD 64 real cores! 4X6272 cpus, 512GB (wow)Ram, 4x 450gb 15k sas w/ hardware raid 10, 1x 120gb ssd, 1x 2tb backup drive, 100mbps unmetered BW $899 (only one left)"
for googles basic packages
30 days is about $104.40
I still laugh at the drives on deals like those...
Anyone dumb enough to put 4 drives on a server with 64 cores and 512GB of RAM doesn't deserve the server
I think 16 X450 should be alright how about you zen?
512GB is only 64 8GB chips. I hate upgrading RAM on HP DL580s (current record is 512 sticks of RAM in one night).
You can configure a Dell R810 to have 768 gigabytes of ram, all in one unit. I was going to post a screen shot, but the shared hosting I chose is not up.
