Nah. Easy to do.
But cheaper to DIY.
Easy to do and the pricing seems quite high for what it provides.
Insanely overpriced.
To experience windows you need a desktop / GUI. To experience Linux all you need is a terminal.
Some of us grew out of the caves decades ago.
Look like a rdp service. But Linux.
RDP can be used with xrdp under Linux but I have experienced severe issues with it (insane CPU usage is one of them). However they're using VNC with this client: https://github.com/kanaka/noVNC (used also in e.g. Proxmox) so IMHO this makes the service too expensive for what they offer and the efforts/time spent on making such tool.
Which was a real bad idea as we know in the meantime.
Christians. Got to love them for their funny rituals! :-)
And, I mean... A priest squirting in public? Gosh...
If you'll permit me a brief meandering into vaguely related territory; all that 'squirting' you see in daddy's secret videos?
It's really just pee-pee...
Wait. My dad has secret videos?
Everyone's dad does.
Right, but if you don't need it, why use it?
Some would say alienation. I have to say I lack for a better term.
Other say growth but that doesn't make much sense.
Unfortunately, all that I know about my birth has to do with a bright star, 3 stoned kings from high risk countries and my father not really being my father. And I really do not think that Joseph, my stepfather, has any secret videos. But I will ask him - maybe we can swap some flics!
Point is, you can rent a 3 EUR VPS, several of the templates it comes with will be Desktop ones, and you get exactly the same thing for 3 EUR/mo and ready for 24x7 use, not 10x more expensive and with silly time restrictions. [Hence I see little need for a console vs GUI flamewar].
My point is that Linux doesn't have to be for servers only (i.e. no GUI required). Unless you browse with Lynx on your desktop, I find it distasteful to shun Linux GUIs.
I agree with you my friend
Firefox > Lynx
Ah, yes. One of those "this could have been a 100 line module on NPM" services. I see crap like it coming by in the #Node.js channel on a regular basis.
Almost certainly not worth it, and just somebody stringing together the AWS/DO API and an XFCE install script.
Isn't this what Guacamole does?

Holy guacamole, I don't see the need for a remote desktop, but I have to say that this project is impressive... HTML5 goodness!
