@juan_144 Have you tried free PaaS providers like the one below?
http://www.engineyard.com/products/orchestra
I will give a try to Redhat Openshift, Orchestra uses a subdomain and now I have a pseudo domain I want to use.
Hmm, Why don't you ask provider to open port 3306 for incoming only? Don't seem to find any issue there.
The problem is not the MySQL server, it works great, the problem is with webhost that only allow these connections to their nodes. And I want more control over my data.
If you want more control, get your own server. Don't expect the world for free.
it's allowed on freevps.us
**** SELF PROMOTION ****
I've recently launched httpsimple.com
I'm not sure if your site would qualify, but if it does it allows remote mysql.
I will need to talk to Damian... But no money now.
@httpzoom Free hosting = Pure waste. 1 out of 1000 barely upgrades and you will receive more complain than anything else. We were part of couple of major free host but alas.
Taz,
I know.
Normally its a waste etc. however we've been doing local advertising and getting some good results.
Its business only hosting however.
If you guys are targeting genuine business (Validating id and shits), great job! This will give you a decent lift. However, I would suggest, instead, target some big charities and offer them some good hosting, these places tends to advertise helluva lot both online and offline and you would get more traffic and sales then local average business. Just my 2c.
ByetHost.
My first free hosting provider.
Free host? Isnt there strings attached and shitty performance?
This is about as free as i've seen https://www.bluevm.com/shared.php
Not mine but this year onwards they do allow outgoing fsockopen's.
Back in 000webhost, slow but the only $olution right now.
You could have tried bornin.asia (http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/4997/let-exclusive-bornin.asia-live-in-beta)
No thanks, local ISPs suck and may block Asia providers by simple suspect. The same with some Germany hosts as well.
