How many packets per second is too much for 1gbit/s connection?
How many packets per second is too much for 1gbit/s connection server?
Server has 7200rpm drive, good cpu and 1gbit/s internet connection
how much is too much for this configuration please?
PS: i recorder values like 160 000pps, if im right, using "nmon", it do not influence HDD or CPU load

It depends on the switch and router as well as well as packet size.
Not all switches are created equally some will tank at quite small volumes, same with routers.
The amount that causes packet loss.
how can i clearly discover this is happening?
Run an MTR. You'll see packet loss through to the end point if you're experiencing it. If you see a little on the way but 0% at the end point, you can ignore it, but if it carries through to the end you've got a problem.
I ran # mtr 8.8.8.8 for around 45 minutes, during which around 3 times there was around 150 000pps. Only Loss% is on sevent, last IP:
google-public-dns-a.google.com 0.1%
did not noticed any loss on the first one, only temporarilly 0.1% on the second IP in a row
