Cheap Command Line Host for Python
I'd like to poll some Google Analytics data for a few sites and put them on a public facing domain. This will require (root) command line access to run python, specifically sudo pip install --upgrade google-api-python-client
to setup the connection. I know D.O. can do a $5 instance, but this site will be so low resource that I'd prefer something in the $1/month range. Any ideas?

Pick up a Ramnode yearly?
No one's going to do $1/month at monthly contracts just because paypal will take about a third of it...
IPv6 only ? how much RAM / disk / bw ?
You could go with a BudgetVZ, MegaVZ oder NanoVZ: https://www.evobilling.com/cart.php
Currently doing something quite similar on a MegaVZ.
@Bochi evo doesn't seem like a great hosting company from what I've read, but their price is right.
@Bruce Your Wombat 128 is $15/year? That would be enough.
@Jonchun Well I do have a few ramnode vps, thanks for the reminder I guess I could just piggyback this application on 1 of them.
Especially for things like that I don't think they are a wrong decision at all.
Currently using multiple plans from them for playing around and development and am quite happy, but yes...I also read what's going on here from time to time.
yes, but if you are happy with just IPv6 I can do the same for $10/yr
We do offer an IPv6 only program for developers, which is a free VPS with 256MB RAM, 10GB HDD, 500GB BW on gigabit speeds.
If you are interested, let me know. You can read more about it at http://dev.layer.ae

Ehh.. Google for "linux terminal" and there's your free "command line"
1 IPv4
$16 /year. PM me.
@httpzoom I need Debian 8 on KVM (OVZ is apparently buggy with it), and I don't see it listed in your distros.
@boxelder - @bruce can help you with this. He has a number of brand new shiny KVM boxes.
@boxelder there are lots of options on http://lowendspirit.com/locations.html or http://littlehappycloud.net NL Littlehappycloud.net even has a free external IP on 256mb or over plans right now but there are literally about 3 of those left
@boxelder my KVM offers have deb8 templates available. you're welcome to try-before-you-buy
128MB KVM with IPv4/v6 - $15/yr
128MB KVM with IPv6 only - $10/yr
both include 5GB HDD, 1Gb/s port - 100GB transfer, 1 X5650 vCPU
I went with Wombat Hosting b/c they were able to provide everything I wanted - Deb8 on a small KVM for around $1 a month. Thanks everyone for your input.
