Small and performant KVM VPS with a good connection
Hi! I need a small Linux KVM VPS with the following specs:
25GB+ SSD
at least 700MB RAM, 1GB preferred
at least 4TB of Traffic
Gigabit connection
1 CPU core is enough
in the USA
Does $5 sound reasonable? If not, whats the deal breaker?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Let's say I'm good with 2TB Traffic

Except the BW, both offers in my signature meet all your requirements. And you can always buy more BW.
BoltVM's offers in your sig are not KVM.
take a look at our current promotion here http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/56676/1stop-web-budget-e5-3-7ghz-kvms-dedicated-ram-storage-from-1-99-lifetime-discount#latest but sorry, no ssd.
That's true. My bad.
Ignore - not suitable
Vultr comes to my mind but that's $8/m.
LeaseWeb: https://www.leaseweb.com/cloud/public/virtual-server
Not SSD but SAS + SSD caching. You aren't going to find a better deal.
why kvm?
Crissic comes into mind, check out their special promotions and if you can't find something that suits you, contact @SkylarM and I'm sure he can work something out for you
Looks pretty decent, until I found out some things from a very grumpy support chat employee: The S server, that would be suitable, does not have any kind of control panel like the standard SolusVM. Also, in contradiction to what it says during the process of ordering, they don't offer Ubuntu 14.04, instead 12.04 will be provided. That, the lack of a control panel and the very grumpy support chat person makes me not want to go to Leaseweb.
Crissic is a bit too expensive at $10 and then has 3 CPU cores which I don't need. 50GB is pretty nice but not necessary.
Hmm yeah, SSD is nice but 20GB and 2TB is a bit too small.
If you can negotiate having SSD then I can have something for you.
Never used their VPS line, but LeaseWeb is a nice provider with a good network as you requested. Probably the only one which will fit all your requirements for that price.
I'd follow @Nyr's advice. He knows what he's talking about. LeaseWeb is a premium provider and that's an awesome deal.
Offtopic: thanks a lot for posting about that deal, @Nyr - I've never seen such a good deal from a premium provider like LeaseWeb.
Maybe I'll give Leaseweb another chance, see if I get get 14.04, but the Panel still bothers me..
Offtopic: My Internet provider uses Leaseweb, because when I visit websites like speedtest.net Leaseweb shows up as my internet provider.
So what makes them a "premium provider"? Seems to me this VPS offer is a sideline for them. They took 3 days to answer a sales ticket... from what I've seen posted performance isn't stellar, and locations are limited/fixed. Go ahead, sell me on them
No need to, we don't get commission from them.
I however had dedicated servers from them: the network is pretty nice and the uptime excellent. They also peer directly in my country which is not very common and I'm a happy customer overall. Their support is not great, specially lately, but my experiences aren't bad either.
Given the requirements and budget of the OP, I would still go and try a VPS from LeaseWeb, specially considering the alternatives suggested.
I think DO is the best to go.
We offer Netherlands SAS if you dont mind.

ConstantVPS
Digitalocean?
Thank you, but I need a US IP.
We have Canada if that doesnt matter to you.We will be offer USA soon.
Yes
Let's say I'm ok with about 2TB Traffic. Does that make it more realistic?
If you also OK with 1TB, take a look at https://mnx.io or even at Runabove Sandbox (but Canada location).
Sorry, that's not enough
It is not improbable that @fizzyjoe908 will be able to make you custom $5/mo offer.
@danyasd Let us know if we can help! We should be able to offer you something around $5/month with your requested specs.

I just did that, thanks!
