Comments
You had me at G'day.
aww wombat but not Australia location
Wombat/Kent Digital have been long term Delimiter customers, they are definitely not 'Summer Hosts'. They have a tonne of servers and just ordered more systems for their KVM rollout. Bruce runs a tight ship and has the technical expertise to back it. Highly recommended.
www.wombathosting.com seems to be offline
test IP?
Sorry mate. starting in US, and will then add new nodes in UK, EU. will consider AU if there's demand. Delimiter have some assets in Sydney so it is possible.
all OK now.
$1 only for first month.
that's right. all plans up to the 4G plan are included in the $1 trial, but first month only.
if you like the service, you're welcome to stay (at the normal price). you can downgrade to a lower service at the end of the month if you wish too
if you don't like the service, you can cancel at any time (but I'd like a chance to make you happy)
if you just want a VPS for a month, want to see what virtualizor looks like, or have a go at interworx, then you're welcome to use the trial.
please look elsewhere if you just want to DoS / SPAM someone
Why US not starting in Australia?
servers in US are cheaper
Cheap not meant success
my services aren't aimed at any specific location. US-hosted servers are usually cheaper, due to lower energy prices. this isn't about cheating on quality. also I'm not trying to be cheaper than others. I'm not chasing the lowest cost per GB of RAM. I'm not looking to provide low quality services that are unreliable. that's why my nodes will not be oversold.
if I want quality customers, I have to provide quality services.
Location matters. 22-th in Australia or 2582-th in US
true, but also smaller population. US is a tough market, I agree
You just forgot about south-east Asia behind you.
Asia - is there an interest in AU services there ?
Why not? Closer region, lower ping :P
