finally got IPv6 subnet reverse delegated, their staff are very fast and friendly
becareful with CDP.me. fucked me over once. everytime I added a server it removed one. (had 20+ servers like)
thanks for letting me know, is there any alternative you would recommend ?
Sadly its a Do it yourself sit.
Anyone know the specs of the $30 RTO?
I remember seeing a $35 RTO that was a L5140 if I recall correctly (two cores).
I think it was 4x146G IIRC.
Got the $20 server. One drive is a WD Black with 19045 hours and the other one a WD RE4-GP with 27526 hours.
Network seems to be decent but need to ask for IPv6.

x3440 dropped down to $25 :-).
already noticed this about 14 hours ago
Hi,
I also grabbed a 20$/month server (the Opteron 1356). These guys are really helpful: I needed a KVM to install my OS and they even made a bootable USB with the ISO I provided a link for and they attached it to my server.
Thanks Steven, Cody, Chris, ... !!!
wo ren bu zhu xiang duo shou le !
I cannot control myself! Maybe this is the truth of mjjs.
The 16 gig 1385 with 2X2TB is also a great deal.
Which one is the best deal in your opinion?
The HP DL 180 has a raid card, battery backup and full HP ilo license. We think everyone should have one.
ZT Systems 2XL5520 16GB 2x2TB SATA $40 seems great
Just 10Tb traffic
You can change your traffic when you order.
Wow, That X3440 with 2x2TB and a /29 is only $20.83 a month when paid semi-annually.
I have been able to resist up until this point, but
I thinkyou got me with that one @dacentec .....10 (terabytes per month) =
30.4212141 megabits per second
I don't know of any system that a LET person uses that would push 30mbps. That is without spikes up or down continuously. What out there needs that amount of speed?
I'm having trouble even reaching close to 1/2 that on an unlimited hertzer box and that's going balls to the wall with traffic.
wow.. didn't notice you can get a discount for paying semi-annually. Couldn't resist either.
Filesharing...
4Tb of HDD space and you're saying that 10Tb of traffic on a 1 Gbps port is much?
Are you constantly turning over 4TB of data a month? I could see a small amount of users doing that but for the normal LET user?
You'd have to seed/send out a constant stream with hundreds of users to get to that point. Unless it's 10TB total traffic up and down. If that's the case you are down to 5TB and things get a bit more complicated.
Im using their $20 dedi 4TB as a image host for my small sized project. no problem so far. very stable.
i have 4 with Dacentec so far and i've got my eye on another 2, just waiting for the price to drop a little bit further to make it a little more profitable.
Damn, bought the 1385, $5 more than the 1356 with double the RAM and better CPU...
I was thinking about getting a server from Dacentec, but I ran a few tests with their test files and the speed seems to be really low.
Anyone can try http://mirror.dacentec.com/1000MB.bin ?

Little x3440 bench:
RE/RE4 drives
Another Opteron with 16GB on the way, will post those stats as well.
Oh, and there's been a $20 server in stock for over an hour. That's a first
