Server Monitoring?
What are the best free options available for monitoring my servers?
Visiting this website, I've accumulated 20 vps and 3 dedi's. Now I have trouble keeping track of all of them.
I would rather just install something on one of my servers to monitor the others, but I don't know what software does that.

What about observium? Uses SNMP to monitor servers and such.
Aha, thanks, that was quick.
You can give my product a try, free during beta.
how about Munin? It's pretty good.
If self-hosted is an option, try PHP Server Monitor. Quite useful for HTTP/S or TCP port uptime monitoring.
I'm using Observium as well but I haven't found out how to send alerts/notifications. Looks like this is not available in the community edition.
Currently use NixStats (Very good), Pingdom for the main domain, Node Query for all the servers (though not as good) and ServerDen for the quick response times (reports back every 10 seconds) though they are currently re-doing the entire site and system so its not working.
If you want something easy, you can try www.cloudpilot.net
Use http://www.librenms.org instead of Observium
It's a fork but is well maintained, has alerts etc.
Nice thanks, this looks promising
nodequery.com is ok and simple
you could try http://infinitystat.com/
+1 nodequery.com
No it's shit. Plain ole shit. Why is it shit? Because there is no support for increasing capacity, noone to contact to ask sales questions, and there is no activity on any of the site for all.
I tried it, was a good tool, wanted to increase capacity and spent 3 weeks talking to clouds, hell I tried using twitter to get ahold of ANYONE and all i got was crickets.
for 1-9 servers it's fine. go past 10 and
Is your site down?
Can you send me an invite? I want to try your service.
invite = LET
Yeah the invite code LET should work
DERP
Loads fine here, https://isitup.org/infinitystat.com
+1 for NixStats
NodeQuery is also good but gives a lot of false downtime and sometimes wrong data for some of my machines.
Has anyone got an invite code for NixStats? Looks interesting.
LET
Awesome. Thank you.
Any chance of it being free afterwards for beta testers?
There will be a free package, beta testers will get discount/upgrade on paid packages.
Alright, great.

Selfmade Resource Monitoring minimalistic, Not perfect yet.
Its a like a Selfhosted Nixstat.

The Pictures on Github are outdated, needs update dam.
Observium and host-tracker.com is a great combo!
I use uptimerobot.com , all I need is downtime statics and alert, it works fine for me.
