Easy: https://github.com/facebook/flashcache/blob/master/README-CentOS6
Just replied to your PM sorry.
That will limit you to a 2.6 kernel which is not adviseable for KVM at all.
Yes, I've read it, although still need some guidance!
Thank you! I've been waiting for it!
I'll investigate this and assure there's a way to run latest kernel, we'll see.
Flashcache is quite a major pain at times. Eg: upgrading from a kernel to another.
I would recommend bcache over flashcache - easier to maintain, etc. Read/write speed is slightly lower than flashcache but it is still ok.
Hello Giant Crab!
I'll definitely investigate about bcache and give it a try, thank you very much for the recommendation! :-)
@GIANT_CRAB How to install bcache on CentOS 6?
If you are on the 3.11 kernel, it will not be an issue. You will also need to build your own kernel and tools if you're running 6.
Else, wait for the release for support of 7.
