Over 2 days Downtime ... ! ( Bad VPS )

i buy a VPS from dosservers.ca for one week ... just for testing purpose ... unfortunately it give me over 2 days downtime ... and no reply for support tickets ... so i don't pay it for second term ... beware from dosservers.ca ... this is for buyers attention ...

We did notice our clients about the problem we faced

We wrote an email for all clients (Date 03/12/2013):

Some of you noticed from yesterday that ther is no connection to VPS, This is due cable network failure that was connecting the nodes to the internet so the nodes are up and working and vps also working only no network connection.

The DC trying to fix that but they told us ther is other problems in the rack with the switch that they try to fix, We asked them to change switch and try to fix him on some test rack they refused

So right now we waiting for this to be fixed, After that we looking now another dc to switch ther in Germany.

We sorry for what happen but its not in our hands

We expecting that to be end tomorrow.

We did resend reminder email now

We also adding new option as called "backup node" So every client that will order vps from us will choice 2 locations the main location of vps and backup so this will do backup every 24h to the vps and in case of problems in main location the client can fireup the vps in another location

I understand that but as you know its not in our hands this can happen with every provider and every DC what i agree is the time for fixing that took to that DC too much time and its not over yet. I was talking with the DC and was already going buy ticket to Germany, If tomorrow it wont be end as the manager promise me im going to Germany take the servers we colocating in that DC and moving to another DC

We just few days befure that happen order 10 dedicated servers to colocate with them now we searching new DC in germany

Atleast thats not the post subject but we have one good news, from tomorrow our USA locations will have also instant setup as we have in Germany and Canada

i think you need to take a look at DC technology before buying servers, if the DC uses good hardware devices with less downtime and best support you don't need to change the DC ... as a example cisco supplies 4hours backup grantee and you can restore all configuration to new switch quickly and i think the DC can up the server approximately just in 5hours. it is very important for DC.

You know as i sad the dc taking care of that i cant do anything with the switch and they didnt want to change to new one as i sad in the email.

Well im worry as i have clients that leaving and opening paypal cases and doing chargebacks in credit cards This is downtime one of the longest i saw in hosting industry. from 12 of this month today is 17

Wait, my Germany BetaVPS is up and running, but my Canada BetaVPS has been out of reach. (I tracerouted both IPs just now to make sure - could I really be that confused?).

We've had a good experience with BetaVPS/DosServers overall, and support them during this time. They've done what they could with their hands tied, and it sounds like they are working hard to handle this.
