Hello!
Which motherboard is used?
X470D4U
how does it compare to https://www.hetzner.com/dedicated-rootserver/ax41-nvme ?
it's in an entirely different country?
yeah, i noticed that... is that your main reason for opting for it?
yeah you won't find a dedicated ryzen in the states for anywhere near this price, other than that the bench speaks for the rest.
It's actually WebNX but they've this Sub-brand called GorillaServers specially for their Utah location. I've been their customer for quite a few months and everything is super solid so far.
+1 for GorillaServers aka WebNX
Even in the EU itself is not that easy to find comparable Hetzner prices for Ryzen - and this is in US, WebNX, so yeah it's a deal alright.
Nice find! Jesus that's cheap for a ryzen!
I got a Ryzen 3600 server from them too (at the same $49):
The benchmark from my server shows much slower recv speed though, for non-LA locations:
@SirFoxy @jnraptor
Any idea what disks are those boxes using?
@SirFoxy Which NVMe drives does it have?
not sure honestly
hdparm -I /dev/sda
pls
For the 256GB NVME:
For the 4tb harddisk:
mine is SSDPE2ME012T4
Only bummer being that the x470d4u might have some hiccups from time to time, like the IPMI locking up during a reboot, together with the rest of the system.
I've got a ryzen 3900x vps wit 6 dedi cores. Should i swap that out for 1 of these ryzen 5 3600 dedis? Any advice would be appreciated
Most vps with dedicated cores aren't really dedicated. Also most treat threads as cores. So imo, yes.
Nice mix of nvme and HDD I could swap out all my vps’s for that monster
grape
Any direct link to order or I have to contact their sales?
you have to contact sales but i got a response same day and the server provisioned the next
I am also thinking of moving all vpses into one single ryzen 3600 and my sites gets visitors from all over the world.
should i go for hetzner or gorilla?
that's up to you I prefer 🦍 but I'm also from the US.
hetzner = ready stock
gorilla = out of stock
@SirFoxy
I got 2 empty 3900x with 128GB ram 250GB&960GB NVME boxes ready to go if someone wants?
probably not interested but you could post the price for others
Yes, what about the price?
$49?
