Although it isn't usually done, isn't it possible to assign a minimal RAM (guaranteed) and a maximal RAM (burst) in KVM as well?

  • catalingmn said: RAM burst

    Please explain what that is.

  • OP should be seriously warned. Title is misleading and should be modified asap. There is no KVM (1 core, 512M, 15G SSD) at only €9.95/Year.

Hi default, just to make sure, isn't the first plan (Cloud Mini) KVM?

How is the ping from India? It was terrible when I checked last couple weeks.
(I'm assuming you are desi too)

  • vimalware said: How is the ping from India? It was terrible when I checked last couple weeks.

A lot of EU/NL pings are very bad with India/Airtel+India/BSNL right now because of routing issues.

Take a look at Virtono's UK location - the pings are considerably better and somewhat consistent. For whatever reason, London-India seems much better ping wise than EU-India even though there are excellent transit/peering points in the EU for India (but they seem to be subject to routing peculiarities quite often).

Also, for India, it seems like there's a lot of peculiarity in routes to different providers. Airtel has good routes in some places but BSNL will have terrible routes to those same places (or vice versa). Overall finding a point that has consistently good routes to both Airtel and BSNL seems quite challenging. ACT seems better (generally) because they're pigging back on Tata/VSNL most of the time.
