    Xen can have BSD without problems on HVM (ours is PV for lower overhead and faster VM) but there are attempts to put bsd in xen-pv too. That is experimental, though.

    No, it is experimental, not ready for production and with the new HVM-PV approach by xen team, will probably be obsolete so abandoned.

    Nope, orders can only be placed in WHMCS, for emergencies, please open a ticket in iperweb ltd's panel (www.iperweb.com) as that is hostbill and not affected by this vulnerability.

    It varies, you can get 1.4 and 1.5 as well, however, this is Xen. Overhead is a bit higher and at such speeds is more visible.

    Is it normal for download speeds on a DALLAS XEN 128 plan to be this much slower than on a DALLASZ3? These results have been pretty consistent since I signed up for both plans.

    This is because the buffers for network are much lower due to lower memory available so speed varies exponentially with the latency. You will have to edit sysctl.

    add the following to the /etc/sysctl.conf of you xen box

    net.core.rmem_max=16777216
net.core.wmem_max=16777216
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem=4096 87380 16777216
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem=4096 65536 16777216

and then run
sysctl -p

    or reboot. You should see better results. You can try lower value to balance memory usage.
