Howdy lads. As the title says , I'm looking for a turkish dedi for under 40$.
Desired specs : cpu with at least 4 cores (8 preferrable HT) and 8 gigs of RAM.
Storage does not matter , can be 100mbit , but prefer 1gbit. Don't need much bandwidth. Location Turkey ofcourse.

  • The ability to install windows OS with our own licence.

    not happening

Cheapest you will find is CityNet which aren't too good

    Not easy...

That's usually the electric bill for a Turkish server let alone profits and internet price.
You should increase your limit... To around $80-100

  • For 40 usd you could find an entry level server with perhaps 100 mbit/s.

Citynet is not cheap for Turkey.

Radore is probably the cheapest, but they start at 300 TL (somewhere around 80$):

    https://radore.com/dedicated-server-sunucu-kiralama

Natro (Cizgi) is better HW at the same price, i think also in Radore DC though:

    https://www.natro.com/sunucu-kiralama/dedicated-server

Gbit at this price is pretty unrealistic.

Control seems to have 400Mbit at virtual "cloud" servers as cheapest, but BW quality can't be good at this prices:

    https://www.control.com.tr/dedicated-kiralama

400 Mbit'e kadar Çıkabilen Hat Kapasitesi
    Sınırsız (unmetered) Aylık Trafik Kotası

Bad luck. TB based billing is not common in TR, just like in most of Eastern europe. You'll pay and get unmetered at varying quality.

Most of r10 offers are from non-company, 1 man offers with not much to offer you when it comes to support, knowledge, professionalism etc.

They won't be monitoring you usage sincerity all they have is a pool but once you start using too much of it you'll probably get downgraded or booted.

They are offering non sustainable prices. Most of these servers cost near the amount you pay in electricity bills let alone the data...

The first one you shared, his site doesn't resolve.

Second one, he has 404 pages all over his page. Can't even see communication information.

Third one, he has different companies listed as recipient for bank accounts, he claims to be listed as a Cyprus company and the contact us page only offers a mobile number...

    R10 is crap, mostly.

So yeeah, go with those offers. If you can.

Edit: Damn mobile keyboard and its auto correction...

Because thats the one throwing 404 errors in your face. And oh, it's also a 1-man-show which is not a company of its own as it leads you to believe and guess what, the so-called company address resolves to a home address...

I do agree that link provided on the forum gives 404 error, so I had to use the homepage link.

    Does not look professional though.

    Yup...
    Whmcs is cracked as well.

BTW first one now resolved. Too bad it is not a company either. The company has name they claims on their page is nothing registered. They have no address our phone information on their pages

    So...

Meaning if you want anything serious, these are not your solutions. If you want to go with a serious one, we'll it aint cheap.

If WHMCS license is not valid, then there is no point buying from the company.

  • you cant sell dedi if you dont have company in r10. they dont allow you to create threat without company license. I dont trust all company but r10 is not a crap.

wow! the whole big LET can not find a dedicated server provider in Turkey with English support. Interesting.

In other I don't understand why someone needs a server in Turkey, Because Turkey is a dead end on international connectivity.

Everything from Turkey ends in mostly in Frankfurt.

You can not reach anywhere fast using Turkish Internet. Only to Turkish people maybe.

And about citynet yes they have Turkish servers but they only use a single homed seabone connectivity and this connection have nothing to do with Turkish internet. No peering at all.

If you use citynet in Turkey and want to reach Turkish customers fast, You will round trip over Frankfurt mostly.

If you want to reach Turkish Internet users, Please do check if the provider have Turkish Telecom or Superonline connections. There is only these two in Turkey as link providers.

    http://bgp.he.net/AS34984 > superonline

    and

    http://bgp.he.net/AS9121 > Turkish Telecom

IF there is really a demand for Turkish Servers in LET/LEB range, maybe I can enter this area.

Got plenty of bandwidth and ips and already have servers and stuff.

But with the Turkish bandwidth prices, My God. I really don't know if someone can offer anything reasonable.

For example: If you want a modest 250Mbits of Superonline connectivity using their own laid down fibre optic cable with BGP etc single homed you need to spend around 10 usd per mbit. and this is a very good price.

If by somehow someone wants to enter Turkish Dedicated/VPS business I can help. Just contact me for details :)

  • emre said: If you want to reach Turkish Internet users, Please do check if the provider have Turkish Telecom or Superonline connections.

What else should they have? The DCs are forced to use one of these, so it does not matter much...

At home. Not in datacenter. Radore sells you a dedicated - usable - Gbit at less than 1k.

You're wrong. I have their price list.
They are asking around $1.7 for per mb, and that's the price they give to their partners.
With that logic, 1Gbit line is around $1700 if it's dedicated.

Also electricity is around $0.19 for each kWh and these prices will increase by 18% due to VAT. Also they do not/can not offer cabling between cabins.

Also I think what @emre claims is, if you want to serve Turkish customer base, you need to have good peering with both Superonline and Turk Telekom. He's asking the DC to have good connectivity to both. The DC's are forced to use IF they want to have good peering because internet connectivity in Turkey is... well BS. Even within the city, let alone country, the ping times might go up to 40-50ms in times.

But the second part of his message is... Well, I think he is talking about serving @ home instead of a DC. That part is a bit unclear.

  • Nomad said: You're wrong. I have their price list.

Weird. Have a R210 (older dual Xeon) with 13x4 IPs since 2011, selling anonymous VPS back then w/ a partner and now idling prepaid. Connection quality is usual Radore "problematic" but ok.

    250Mbit on Gbit - 250$ (burst 1$/Mbit)

    Gbit upgrade - 25$

    52 IPs - 40$

    Server - 85$

Cannot get over myself to cancel it, the price is just too good and one user pays for most traffic for a VPN (yea yea legality, don't care, Erdogan can't do crap here)

I bought it via a reseller (think dead by now, need to search) and later moved it to my own Radore account.

Nomad said: With that logic, 1Gbit line is around $1700 if it's dedicated.

Probably, now, for new orders. With other BW quality likely also.

At high usage times Radore sold you Gbit for FAR less than that.

Nomad said: Also electricity is around $0.19 for each kWh and these prices will increase by 18% due to VAT

Companies get the VAT back in any civilised country. I do not pay radore VAT obviously either.

Nomad said: Also I think what @emre claims is, if you want to serve Turkish customer base, you need to have good peering with both Superonline and Turk Telekom

Well, yea, but who else sells transit at all in Turkey? Especially as only SU and TT have censorship infrastructure.... no one really does, sure you have that Telia pop but i doubt a random company can just buy there - they did decline to offer me transit after all, only transport to FRA/AMS...

Nomad said: Also they do not/can not offer cabling between cabins.

Radore has some weird policies, did not know that but they do not like non branded equipment in colo either (might be insurance thing?)
