I'm not entirely sure why anyone would buy DDR2 when DDR3 is relatively cheap at this point.
after the hynix factory in china was closed due to fire , the price has almost doubbled
Perhaps because people still have machines that use DDR2....
Hence why people still buy DDR1 aswell, get £10 for a 1GB stick of DDR1 on ebay.

if you have a machine with ddr1. you should invest in a raspberry pi.
