minimum requirements for openvpn on vps?
As per title,
I rent a VPS server in the UK but am looking at renting one in the US for some friends to enable them to watch US content (on demand stuff). I was wondering what is the minimum requirement in the way of RAM, etc if the VPS was just basically running the OS and just open vpn.
Cheers,
krs360.

A lot of people do it on 64-128MB RAM.
We have many, many, many clients running openvpn on our 32mb plan. So I would say 32mb RAM is the minimum.
I have it running everything under 9 MB using a debian 6 minimal template.
That's about 7MB
Hi @Damian,
How can I get a 32 MB VPS with you? Its not listed on the IPXCore website I think.

There are other quality hosts who offer cheapy plans too, such as Prometeus and 123systems. http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/4501/ultra-lowend-vps is a good thread.
Many thanks for the quick replies people.
Thanks.
Do you..umm....want me not to order from you?
Yeah, I do this with Hostigation and Secure Dragon using their 32Mb plans. Plenty of room.
@Cheesymac OpenVPN access server or the plain minimal one?
32Mb is fine for the regular OpenVPN.
If you want access server, I'd recommend 192, though it seems to idle around 100~ usually.
Plain old minimal ones.
