maybe @jarland is better disabling your provider permissions so you go to school and study instead of trying to fail again with your hosting business?
Wormly says they had an outage on the 1st:
@alexvolk he wasnt banned for complaining about delimiter. He was banned for bringing unessisairy shit to this thread
You never cease to amuse.
Clearly you didn't read what actually happened, @MrGeneral had a tantrum with @Jarland and was sent to stand in the corner for a while.
When you make these statements its clear you don't read properly or just read a couple of words like Delimiter and MarkTurner and then have some hormone rush in your head and start blabbering.
Whether you like it or not, Delimiter has repeatedly demonstrated itself to be a credible and reliable provider. When I posted the first offers on LET in 2013, you were nay-saying then, its three years later now and we're still here, still delivering great deals with great hardware on a fantastic network.
free ads for delimiter
This thread is about QuadIX/VolumeDrive.
Keep it on topic, or posts will start getting moved to The Cest Pit.
I was debating on saying the same. But... if anyone wants to start up a thread and bash Delimiter, let me be clear I have no opposition to this. Just bring your A game, because @MarkTurner will be bringing his I can assure you
This is LET, all certain members do is bring their prejudices and a just tiny bit of their hormones. /sarcasm
Sometimes I wish we had a rule that specified no personal attacks, and no ad-hominem arguments. But y'know, Americans.
I wish we didn't have people who ditched clients, but y'knah [snip - oops]
This is no surprise at all. I rented a server from VolumeDrive/QuadIX last year. For the month I had it, It was down or extremely slow for at least 75% of the time. They didn't give me a refund at all.
And here's comes a guy who took the post the complete wrong way. I suggest you follow the instructions you presented to another guy in a thread you happened to open
Just saying, you're going to generalize Americans... I suggest you STFU about generalizations when you ditched your clients.
Oh, and you used VolumeDrive as one of the locations for CloudCommando before you did a runner, so let's add that to the bias.
Freudian slip?
Are you including yourself in that list? You were riding them about 2 months back...
They offer you a good deal and they're back in your good books, you're the core shill for them in this thread. You need to add "can be bought for a good dedi deal" to your sig, the offers will flood in!
I'm trying to figure out what they've given you to run back to them, completely forgiving fuck ups you were raging about in October. What caused you to flip back to their team so quickly and to defend them as much as you have here?
I don't think it's shady when other people are DEMANDING it, as you could see overwhelmingly in that previous thread. Even this guy piped up at the idea of a refugee offer during those last outages...
AAAAAAAND WE HIT THE HYPOCRITE JACKPOT. ROLL ON BITCHES
I think you need to read my post again. And maybe take a walk outside, it looks like you have an issue.
And another thing? I'm not even Australian.
My issue was your service. About as reliable as VD, where you hosted it.
Hmm, I could have sworn. I'll see myself out. With your past, history with them, and ditching customers - I wouldn't poke my head in a VD thread regarding reliability.
Yeah but new HDD and SSD = it's amazing for my needs!
You clearly haven't even read the thread. Or either of my posts. You just wanted to start something because you think you are without sin yourself. And also because you know that your post was completely unrelated to what I said, and couldn't think of another way that your peanut brain could retaliate.
You should heed our almighty lord and savior's wise words.
How dows one fuck oneself with a shovel? I mean more than once.
^
Do you even English?
Not sure where you got that from, inspect element much? The last PM I had with you was you asking to use a tutorial for your half-baked SaaS that didn't work out:
Well, I think this thread served it's... oh hell I don't know what this thread did.
Also back by popular request. I kindly request that deviating from the topic and devolving into personal insults be refrained from.
I won't stand in the way of this being about Delimiter as well, should you guys continue to go down that path, purely because VolumeDrive themselves pushed that issue.
@mikeyur everything sounds bad out of context.
The posts that you're quoting have to do with a box I had with them which I WAS using in production.
I've already stated countless times that this E3 that I am praising is a development machine and is in no way being used in production so spare me your stupidity for a few minutes.
Now I will just repeat myself.
QuadIX - Great for Testing. Not for production.
Everyone read that? Good.... Move on.
They should use that as their tagline.
On another note, let's talk false advertising..
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1538777
Ad text from latest WHT offer:
Order page:
+$20 for a Dual X5650, but advertising it at $47.95
That's, uh, design error as some providers say.
Heh.
That user on WHT commented on the 26th, they've posted 2 more ads since (Dec 29th & Jan 2nd) with the same error.. Figure they'd get around to fixing that after having it pointed out vs. continuing to post false information in offers.
Yeah, I assume one unicorn dies at every offer they make.
I've seen worse ads and won't buy from them anyway. Anyone who cares to buy from them coming from those threads will probably notice the "Hi, what we advertised costs $20(/m?) moar".
>
Must have put up their pricing. The CPU option was never present when I ordered, it was always Dual CPU.
I personally think a better option would be a setup fee.
There is a recurring cost to the additional power consumed by the CPU, so a setup fee probably doesn't really work in this instance. The X5650 CPUs are 95W TDP each, so they do eat quite a bit of power.
