For domain whois use http://whois.com/whois/ginernet.com
Replace your domain with one you want to check. Pretty fast IMO.
Command line "whois google.com", package jwhois under debian/centos is nice!
Who.is

https://who.pm maybe?
Do you know of any whois/libraries enabling queries for nTLD's like .xyz .online etc...? The a/m packages (whois, jwhois) are limited to old gTLD's and ccTLD's only.

@jmginer, there's also Whoisology who are pretty useful, especially for brand monitoring and cross-referencing details.
Their data may be queried for free and is updated quarterly.
Paid accounts increase the number of queries that may be submitted per hour to the API.
Lastly, if you require it, you could probably work out something with them to get a snapshot of the data.
Very nice tool, thame it does not work with IPs... but good for domains.
I agree - it's so easy to use, and quick.
I'm using https://checkprinbulk.com/whois
It can check IP address too, eq:
https://checkprinbulk.com/whois/google.com
https://checkprinbulk.com/whois/8.8.8.8
Love that site, so easy to do a quick lookup.
who.is/whois/lowendtalk.com

I really like GWhois
Can do domains and IPs.
Hosted on RamNode, too.
Wow! really good tool, yes!
