Well, everyone loves RAID10..or so it seems. Get on Skype The first node has 8GB, upgradable to 16GB. Second node will probably start at 16GB.
Last time i used vpsfx promo vps, got nice latency but not as good as from LA though. For now budgetvm LA vps give me lowest and stable latency from my location here (Malaysia).
Glad to hear it You'll be surprised by the LET offer coming up. It's well within the LET price point, don't worry.
@dominicl your company is vpsfx? or is that dc?
No, I don't have a clue who VPSFX is. I think he was stating that he used them and had good connections to where he lives. The DC I'm using is PhoenixNAP
PhoenixNAP Providers will drain your pennies, I used infinitie.net and I regret leaving them on a blackfriday sale I picked up 100TB Bandwidth for $50 on a Gbit port pooled between 2 or 3 servers(cannot remember).
The invoices add up, and Jeesh you don't realise how much you have spent untill it is gone.
I've seen so many bad reviews on Infinitie..I can't remember a good one. One quite recently too
Any test ip?
Vpsfx also located in PhoenixNAP.
Sure, 198.15.92.82
Nice to hear that!
250ms from Manila
Wow - yeah. There are other providers that use PhoenixNAP on here I believe. NodeDeploy and another one
Same +-250ms from Malaysia.
More 10ms from my connection to LA.
ps: I'm using HSPA+ network, that's why the value a bit high.
Ah right, OK. From here, I get 160-170ms.
Wellington, New Zealand compared to our servers in Dallas.

Here's mine:
Time for me to rant about NZ's crap internet. 1 sec.
Mine:
Yeah, if you're in the UK/US it's obviously going to be better than if you're not.
What is this? 15 hops?
Last time I checked it was 22 hops to PhoenixNAP. New Zealand internet got better somehow o.o
Apparantely it did :P
So when is SwitchVM launching?
When I've got everything finished up. Quite a few more things to do, but maybe end of this week - early next week.
@dominicl Astounding! -.-
Well, back to MCForums where people think FTP means Full server management (how does that work?)
Well before buying a server, they need to figure out what one is, generally..
I'm pretty sure 90% of the summer hosts there are more clueless about Minecraft Hosting (and servers in general) than their customers.
I wouldn't be surprised. They just think - "Yeah I'll buy a Kimsufi server, and get a bit of extra money". They buy a KS server, haven't a clue how to use it. They buy a Multicraft license, haven't a clue how to install it. Server goes down, haven't a clue how to get it back up. DDoS attack, doesn't know what one is. Abuse report, doesn't know how to deal with it. Server, doesn't know what it is.
I had like 185ms from virginmedia, suckish bandwidth it seems.
Edit: 160ms now.
That's not amazing, but not awful. They're at the far end of the US compared to the UK, literally the furthest. Well, you won't resist when you see some of the LET deals.
It's pretty bad.
I can get better ping than that from New Zealand (at 2AM :P)
:P lol
