@gsrdgrdghd The e-mail was sectioned off with different instructions for clients and potential clients. Probably like me and tried to read it too fast ;)

Jack: I have 4 active VPS with them in SJ, I cancelled three, still have one left.

    Make sense? :)

  • I signed up to the newsletter via the IRC link on Saturday, but never got an email. Is this correct?

    Spam folder?

  • When's IPv6 coming for Buffalo? Not really in need of it and I can always do a HE.NET tunnel if I do, but just curious :)

  • @Jack said: Yea sorry :) , Did pony tell you what the issue was?

Yap, fastest billing reply I have ever got with BuyVM :)

I like how they generate a random hexadecimal root password, better for security as it also said to remember it for it would not be emailed to you, hopefully meaning that your password is not stored in plain text anywhere.
However, it was emailed to me. So I guess it is still stored plain text in the database.

Bring that up to pony. He was working on removing any storing of it but it's possible he didn't roll out that change.

    @Francisco I just sent Pony a ticket. Thanks :)

  • AHhhh!!
5 minutes ago the mail arrived that new stock will be available, lol how late.

  • @Francisco
I have a SJ 128 and want NY instead. Now how should I order? Because when ordering I have to choose between PayPal and CC but I do not want to pay 15$ again I just want to use the remaining time for the new NY server. Choosing paypal would directly lead me to the paypal site to that I have to pay, won't it?

  • any reason the 3 biggest KVM plans all have San Jose twice?

  • @Jack said: You have to cancel SJ then re-order NY

So when I do it in this order I do not have to chose payment?

    ahaha nevermind i'll fix that.

    Stupid me.

    EDIT - Fixed

  • @Francisco woo, now, I expect full compensation for reporting this critical bug. A 2048KVM free for a year will do fine...a little less than I think I deserve, but it'll still do.

Internal network for openvpn still the same for buffalo?

Tried openvpn, but doesnt seem to work, have done the /root/.usvpn and the iptables SNAT to the internal 172 ip, but traffic doesnt seem to go past the 199 ip.

    openvpn now fixed. :-)

  • @Jack said: Pony coded a cancel=credit thing for WHMCS.

So you cancel and it adds the amount to your account credit

The question remains; then in the ordering process of NY I get a third option beside paypal/CC that says something like 'use remaining credit' and I do not have to go to the paypal website again and have to buy 1yr just to get the remaining months? (Just want to make sure).

It should work like that just fine.

You'll have to pay for the remainder that's due
