2 x vCPU, 512 MB Ram, 5 mbps unmetered bandwidth, $3.99/mo!
Hi all, this is my first offer at LET. Hopefully I've got this close to right.
Unless you modify it in the ordering process, your #3.99/mo KVM VPS with come equipped as:
- 2 x vCPU (expandable to 6)
- 512 MB Ram (expandable to 2 GB)
- a single IPv4 IP address (not NAT, expandable to 61 usable)
- 5GB of boot disk (expandable to 20 GB)
- 5mbps of unmetered bandwidth (expandable to 100)
- CentOS pre-installed (if desired)
Additional OS images are available in your server control panel. The images are netinstall .iso files that you can use to install Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD... or if you have your own OS distro that you'd like to use just ask and I can upload an image for you.
I'm not a big fan of pre-packaged deals. The ordering process is very flexible so you can add and remove features where you find value.
Datacenter is in Kelowna, BC, Canada. I've been getting very good bandwidth to the US and quite reasonable bandwidth to Asia.
Skype username is davinoverland. If you have questions that you don't want to ask here, feel free to ask there.
Not sure what else to say. If I've missed something, please let me know.

I got one of these. Incredible for price personally.
Looks terrible.. No Debian preinstalled ? Test IP will be fine..
I've got a debian image available so it's not really a big deal. People use these differnetly. I can provide a test IP... what services should be running on it? people just want to ping or... something more exciting?
Send to PM if you about possible ddos.
Larger IP allocs are rwhoisd/SWIPed?
@William: I can SWIP larger allocations.
@fitvpn: 66.209.190.129 you can ping that one. As well, http://66.209.190.129/test.file is a 100mb file. Anybody who tests, please let me know your results and where you are.
*Edited to add: obviously I've lifted the bandwidth restriction to get the best possible results. A 5mbps VPS will be limited to that (or whatever limit you choose).
Not valid ssl cert
Works for me.
@doverland Is the link correct? I'm seeing a $4.49 VPS with 4GB storage & 128MB ram
@namhuy The fact that the cert is not trusted by your Android doesn't mean it's not valid...
It's just the incomplete certificate chain.
I cannot access client area.
First trace is from Rimouski, Qc using Telus optik, looks nice.
Second is from my OVH box in Montreal... not has nice.
So Telus must have better routing to the west since they are very active in this part of the country... ?
Looks like their network is 100% Telus, so that would explain it: http://bgp.he.net/AS40438
Just to address a couple of things. On the cert - cheap cert. It's a risk I took. I'm not storing any credit card information so it didn't feel like I needed to be too worried about it. I also don't have an android device to check with so I can't troubleshoot very well. Someone feel free to PM me with a better cert situation and I'll jump on it.
As for the neworrk - yup, all TELUS. TELUS is redundant out of town as well as redundant within town. Cheaper than adding a second carrier. TELUS peers out at more places than any other Canadian carrier so, in the absence of budget to add a second carrier, this made sense. Now, sell me 5000 VPS and I'll get a second carrier
Thanks for looking.
