Is there any software Alternative to OpenVPN ?
Hello everyone,
I was searching for any free software alternative to OpenVPN which run functionally like OpenVPN.
OpenVPN is great but it just for 2 users for free per server. I would like to know if there's some software alternative and free with unlimited users per server ?
Thank you
Comments
OpemVPN is free for unlimited servers, you're talking about AS, right?
And Softether
+1 softether or tinyvnc
I mean about OpenVPN.NET which provide me 2 free users per server and I can't run more than this two users in the same time
I will take a look on Softether
Do the users all have to have separate accounts? If not, you can configure OpenVPN to allow the same account to be used be multiple users at the same time.
+1 for SoftEther
StrongSWAN. Good encryption.
This is not OpenVPN limitation, but commercial OpenVPN Access Server limitation. Try OpenVPN community edition https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html instal it manually and use without any limits.
I didn't try this before, but this is a good option too
hmmmm, so they have two versions on for free and the other commercials, thank you for this information
You should try @Nyr's openvpn installer on debian/ubuntu
+1 SoftEther, running flawlessly here.
The Windows server management program also runs with wine under linux!
https://github.com/Nyr/openvpn-install
that's great script
thank you
+1 for softether. It also have more compatibility like L2TP than Openvpn. Give it a try.
+1 for softether. Awesome and really easy to set up!
Top necro.
pptpd for PPTP and openswan xl2tpd for L2TP.
When you goto OpenVPN.NET there are 3 options
1) VPN service # a VPN for sale
2) VPN Solution # openvpn AS, limited to 2 free users per server
3) Community # openvpn , no limit to users per server and free
you need to look in 3) Community
there you can download openvpn and install on both server and client, no limit to users per server, or how many run at the same time.
here is the direct link
