Are you from China? Are your customers from China? What technology do you use to make these VPNs? Is there encryption and if yes - what encryption?

We're not flaming your question, we're flaming your questinsien beign blozk of texisn thaths hard to reieed vause theyl re all discombibouatled and theres no peeridods or cummas or caplitals or things like that cause thats too hard but you wnat to know infmornations form us but dnot wnaant to take the tiem to formlua ate your quuesitons in a firomat that peol;pe can reed cause fuck that.

Anyway, have you tried contacting the hosting companies you're having issues with? I'm sure they'll be willing to help. I enjoy trading customer's money for service and support.

@hrmnothnx from which country are you (and your customers)? This is important. If you are from China, this might explain the problems.

  • alot of VPS support tickets are outsourced so tickets never seem to be understood, much liek how you guys feel about me lol... BUT i see actual people from the companies posting on here from time to time. so i figured it would be a nice place to get in contact with someone who could help me. i was wrong tho, all i got was people assuming im trying to watch netflix from nigeria and not understanding me issue.

aldryic, not EVERY ip in the listed ranges are blocked on facebook. i have some that are similar down to the C block that still work on the site (aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd) i could list full IP addresses and company info but i dont want to make them look bad because they cant possibly test every ip on every site before selling me a VPS. but if we could figure out if its a problem with a specific data center then i could avoid it... and as for doubting me how about i ustream setting up a FRESH vps in a KNOWN blocked city and host and then test it all live to prove they are blocked before i get them...

  • all customers are USA based and all websites are USA based that are having issues i have some UK vps but do not use them for my business

I represent one of the providers you wanted help from. And to be perfectly honest... there's only so many times I'll ask for details before I decide it's not worth my time trying to beg enough information to help you.

    You're on your own.

this was aimed at aldryic as he is actually Involved with a hosting company and MAY contain knowledge that helps me, unlike most of you

A phone number? For what? Who?!

  • gsrdgrdghd awsome contribution!!! i mean hey lets be rude to someone who does WAY more good for lowend box than you do yourself, WHAT A GREAT COMMUNITY! you understand when LEB posts promo codes the sites PAY LEB when people use that to sign up? yeah im not great on forums but instead of being an asshole maybe you should help me since people like me make this place stay open! dont worry im not trying to join your cool kid forum club i was just trying to network with some professionals who use this site

  • @hrmnothnx said: because they cant possibly test every ip on every site before selling me a VPS.

You said it yourself, it won't make them look bad, because there's nothing they could really do to avoid it. If you want help from anyone, we need more info. If you want help from the provider, they need more info. Don't assume the provider knows you're talking about them, because they don't.

Ha! I had a hard time with it; I think I backspaced and retyped more things than I would have typing normally.

  • @hrmnothnx said: you understand when LEB posts promo codes the sites PAY LEB when people use that to sign up?

Yeah, that's the biggest crock of shit I've heard all day.

Hmm... I wonder why LEB hasn't taken us to court for unpaid invoices, then....

  • aldryic that may not be exactly how it works but clearly there is some exchange of currency for advertising, correct? and custom promo codes show exactly where they came from telling companies where it was worth their while to invest, correct?

  • @hrmnothnx said: aldryic that may not be exactly how it works but clearly there is some exchange of currency for advertising, correct?

    Advertising? Yes. Offers? No.

@hrmnothnx said: and custom promo codes show exactly where they came from telling companies where it was worth their while to invest, correct?

Usually, no, it's just a convenient thing to make a coupon code. Occasionally the host might use it to analyze where they're pulling clients from - but a lot of times they'll even use the same code for, say, LEB and WHT.

  • DamianDamian Member

The advertising on the right side of the page is paid. Most (all?) advertising on the Internet involves some form of "exchange of currency", though I've never sent actual currency in the mail to pay for advertising. Not sure anyone else has either.

  • @hrmnothnx said: aldryic that may not be exactly how it works but clearly there is some exchange of currency for advertising, correct?

Yes, providers may purchase one of the ad slots on the right-hand side of the main page. There is zero cost or exchange for blog postings.

@hrmnothnx said: and custom promo codes show exactly where they came from telling companies where it was worth their while to invest, correct?

Only if they're configured to do so, or if the provider uses an LEB-only promo code. Look for our postings; we NEVER do discounts or promotions, so that shoots your theory right out of the water.

  • all i was trying to say is using LEB promo codes and links are GOOD for the site because it shows hosting companies where it is worth their time putting ads and other offers. i use these codes and links exclusively because i liek this site however i dont like the forums much......

  • anyways im done with this thread i was looking for help from people in the industy and all i got was a bunch of greif from a bunch of guys wanting to feel big and proud and smart by jumping all over someone and hounding everything they say. congrats your all such big alpha males ON A VPS FORUM LOL gayboys

admin lock this baby up or nuke it. im out

    hahahaha this guy is hilarious.

  • @hrmnothnx said: i was looking for help from people in the industy

Several of us in the industry tried to help you, but your insistence on only giving very vague reports and no actual details or helpful information prevented this. Don't blame us for your failure to cooperate when YOU were the one asking for help.

    @hrmnothnx
If you want help from people, maybe you should stop being an asshole, calling names and constantly accusing people of 'flaming your question' despite seemingly not a single person immediately understanding your question, simply because you didn't give enough information.

If every user in a thread points out the same issue with your post, then maybe it is time to stop blaming others, and look in the mirror.

@hrmnothnx I don't know why I read this whole thing, but I would seriously consider the fact that maybe the places these "customers" are going to are random porn sites or the likes and probably sites that get DDOS a lot from different places. IF and I say IF you are actually being blocked, that could be a cause, but the hosts you use are not going to be able to fix this directly, you will need to contact the sites you are attempting to go to which are blocking you and ask them to remove such a ban. The providers them selves are not responsible for making you unable to reach or use a site.

Seeing as you won't give any specifics I would assume you are truly using these vpn's for something illegal so you refuse to tell us what sites you are actually using. Until you provide specific details... I am sure most of the rest of us will also continue to assume the same. If you want help give us the specifics, if your doing something illegal and its causing you to lose access to sites, well then I think you probably have the answer to your question. Even the best and brightest can't help you when you refuse to give the the information needed to provide you with an answer.

So far to me you just seem to be a teenager who is either doing something illegal or has no idea what he is doing, and probably shouldn't be selling anything to anyone. Seeing as you cant seem to form a single rational and understandable explanation for your problems. I sure hope you do not charge these people for support, because if your support is as scatter brained as your post on this thread is, you should probably be refunding them all (just for putting up with your nonsense).

  • @TheLinuxBug - I agree. The last paragraph just made me think "why would you even think to assume that?" And the only answer I can come up with is "because that's actually what he's doing"

@hrmnothnx said: and just because i know people will accuse me of being up to no good i will explain what i do.

  • @DimeCadmium TBH after I saw "my clients are old business guys" my mind just started wondering onto what these "old business guys" needs a vpn for to begin with. Especially if they are in the USA already... only thing I can think is to bypass filters of some kind or to view some kind of porn/hate speech/escort or dating services/Child porn type sites. Any provider worth their salt probably would block their users from going to these types of sites (the ones they know of) as they are highly illegal in the US. Without having specifics that is the only thing that would make sense to me. Though I also do not see most providers searching out these sites to block either... so your guess is truly as good as mine.

Either way.... This thread just makes me want to:
