OpenVPN Connection: 100+% Overhead?
I'm currently seeing about 100% overhead on my OpenVPN connection to my Ubuntu desktop. This only appears to be a problem with the Ubuntu desktop and doesn't occur in Windows. This happens on both of my VPNs, I noticed this a few days ago when I downloaded a 300MB file and saw an additional 600MB of traffic on ifconfig. I've been playing about with it since to make sure it's OpenVPN causing the traffic and nothing in the background.

Remove "use a TCP connection" and try again.
It looks fine for me, I think. It could be speedtest overhead, try with a cachefly file.

Deployed a instance on DigitalOcean AMS and tried with a TCP connection from setup, same issue.
Thinking this is maybe just an issue with Ubuntu accounting for the bandwidth as it works fine in Windows.
Instead of using ubuntu default system monitor, use trafshow. It might be counting the loopback interface.
