That's not true, the i5 at OVH is 19.99 EUR w/o VAT, this one is 19.99 w/o VAT too.

Not too amazing of an offer, the only benefit over OVH's server is the faster network, "150 Mbit guaranteed" means it's connected at gigabit and you can burst to full gigabit a lot of the time, but that's not guaranteed.

    Download speed from CacheFly: 104MB/s
Download speed from Linode, London, UK: 57.0MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 78.3MB/s

Whereas at OVH you are plugged into a 100 Mbit port, and about 11 MB/sec is all you ever get.

Why do they not have windows? :(
    Are there any online.net resellers?

    They do?

You can also just use IPMI to install the ISO.

Also oh god no don't go with the oneprovider reseller, I got to use my dedicated server for about 3 days (3 days to setup, 16 days to fix the raid they put in wrong, 6 days for them to mark the installation as done, 3 days to reinstall as they did that wrong too)

Well online.net doesn't accept paypal to Aussie users and oneprovider doesn't even have the new dedi plan that online.net has

Online.net does accept credit card payment for Aussie. :)

They accepted my payment with PayPal (balance and credit card) and I'm an Aussie.

It looks not support KVM/IPMI console, so customers can't install windows on it, i think Kimsufi would be better.

Ah, I was with them for a few months at the end of last year :/

They probably received too many chargebacks.

Much better, I'm just showing it has similar performance as an i3 from Kimsufi :)

Not if the single core performance were included in that benchmark

I saw one person mention it, but have you guys not heard of or seen the new integrated celerons? They outperform the atoms usually around the same price range. Seems like 'ATOM' is just a buzz word among techies right now.

Seems like the J1900 is just one of these atoms split in half

yeah this is one of those things intel did to drop the prie since the board and the cpu are intergrated i guess it removes a lot of issues. My guess is it dops the price of the cpu and not the board its self. I remeber somewhere someone built a cluser using these in small box http://www.servethehome.com/mini-cluster-box-v2-64gb-ram-24-cores-13-nics-3-systems-2-switches/

    Nope not at all

Celeron performs just as good and is 10 times cheaper.

Very very intresting. i will heck some other benchmark sources but if this is the case then the atom is almost postinless since u can get the j1900 for like 90$ a board. Onething i think the atom can take 64gb of ram each I THINK but i have to check the j1900 i haven ot seen higher then 8gb

Interesting, in my country, they sell the Celeron 1037U for $82 tax included; 32GB max supported, and with VT :o

You could but you would want to setup a remote backup incase of hard drive failure.

Wouldn't that downgrade the performance on the machine?
