price check: 5 ipv4 address yearly

I'm researching for a VPS with the following specs:
64Mb to 128Mb ram
2gb to 3gb hdd
1tb to 2tb bandwidth(lower if it can roll over)
5 ipv4 address

The reason:
I have a website that giveaway free vps's but want to offer an ipv4 add on for vary active users as a reword via gre tunnel due to ip costs in Europe i'm looking at the USA.

If i get a good deal i will buy in a about 2 weeks.

I think you want to put this under requests not general.

Try GreenValueHost, they had cheap IP's at 30c/IP.

  • I am already with GVH but want more then one provider.

Why not get additional ip's from your current providers? Cost aside, most likely you carn't get around the ip justification, and your reason above does not seem to be a good justification either.

The fact that these ip's will most likely get spammed to hell and blacklisted by being linked to "free" vps'...

we have had zero abuse since we opened about 11 months ago.

We are vary proactive on abuse.

    This.

I think 1 ip address per vps is justified.
as i can prove my ip usage.
And i manged to get a /29 swiped for 1 website.

You may want to Google definitions of the words vary versus very.

  • 5 ips on a small vps? for what.

Did you read the op it's for me to gre tunnel to my own vps provider

I don't think many providers will be willing to give you ip space for cheap, with such sketchy justification and the very high probability of abuse

    We have never had abuse.
I think the ips are justified right and what is wrong with reason?

Or is this the project where you're providing $1/year VPSes?

We can offer GRE-ready IP space sans VPS for a nominal fee. I don't mind offering the VPS as well if you're comfortable managing your tunnels. If you're looking to pay yearly, I can do the above for $58/yr .

  • We looking for lower then $20 per year

Even at .50cents per ip (which is low for a vps provider)... you won't reach your budget.

  • @mtwiscool said:

If the IPs were $0.50/IP : $2.50 * 12 = $30 ; your $20 budget isn't realistic, even near provider pricing for IP blocks. Someone will probably offer it on a recoup or loss-leader basis though.

The only reason GVH can charge so little: ColoCrossing doesn't charge a cent for IPs.

CC doesn't charge for IPs if you buy dedicated servers :) They do if you colo.

    This is not true.

    1. We pay for our ColoCrossing IPv4 addresses
    2. The majority of our IPv4 addresses are not owned by ColoCrossing (No, they are not from Crissic either)

There's a reason for why we can charge so little for our addresses. The primary reason is because we have a large amount of IPv4 addresses available and I cannot say any more than that.

That's a piss poor excuse. We both know what a block costs.

  • Can we just get offers and not offtopic Stuff?

We gave you offers. You didn't like their prices (which is fine.)

You said you wanted more locations, then replied 'ColoCrossing is fine". It's no secret that GVH hosts with Colo for a majority part. (That's a bit odd.)

    More offers will come, maybe.

    This is completely false.

We are with ColoCrossing in Buffalo and Seattle. All of our other VPS locations are with other providers. We pay a fair price for addresses and it's nowhere near what people think we pay.

If you don't know something as a fact please do not go and spread lies.
