Good luck getting cPanel for that price.

  • zionvpszionvps Member

For most providers, cpanel alone would cost that much, atleast for the non saturated ones

Seems they raised the price of cPanel by $2 now but probably still the cheapest option.

Actually disregard the first link.. Think this one is cheaper.. and is quarterly vs semi annual.

Actually I think the 3GB ovz plan for an extra $2/mo is a better deal over the 2GB

i think the 2gb deal is no longer on ...

You mean the "Enterprise Holiday Promo" ? Odd I tried them all and it works just fine for me.

OOh you mean the "2GB OpenVZ VPS" @ $4.17/6 mo.. yeah that works fine for me too.

  • You can go with linux based VPS hosting services with your budget excluding cPanel

Well, CVPS is offering the specs he requested including cPanel for $16.17/mo.. granted you have to pay for the VPS part semi annually.

    2GB OpenVZ VPS

    2048MB Ram

    80GB Diskspace

    2.0TB Bandwidth

    100Mbps Port

    2xIPv4 Address

    SolusVM/OpenVZ

    $25/Half-Yearly

    cPanel $12/mo

  • How big are your clients? On your budget couldn't you do like... a $10-15/m shared reseller and $5-8 on a box for your own stuff? You might get what you want but I'd be careful at that price point. You're looking closer to like... $20-25 as a minimum.

CPanel is hard to get for that price.

    What about Crissic?
    2GB RAM
    2GB vSwap
    4 vCPU cores
100GB Disk (I think this was doubled to 200GB, but better check with them)
    4TB Bandwidth
    1Gbit port
    OpenVZ/SolusVM
    2 IPv4
    Up to 200 IPv6
    https://crissic.net/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=15

Price: $7/Month, use "1YEAR" promo code for 25% discount, so $5.25/month final.
    cPanel addon is $12/month.

Total $17.25/month (pretty close to budget).

    but

if someone can offer cpanel for usd12 .
then the vps for atleast 6

    that would still do.

Why not using Online.net dedicated server instead? Dedibox SC is a real dedicated server, in a tier 3 datacenter with garanteed bandwidth.

This. For $15/mo you can get some nice reseller hosting. You'll be happier than scraping the bottom of the VPS barrel to find someone who's making 50 cents a month and providing 50 cents a month worth of support.

If you're "mostly a web designer" why are you trying to admin a web server for clients anyway? Do you really have the sysadmin skills needed? Firewall, antispam, patching, backups, BIND, monitoring...

yea i do understand alot of sysadmin..
and i like having root access....

That's why he needs access to his root at all times.

Yeah that was my suggestion, get a decent shared reseller for your clients then host your personal stuff on a VPS. You should be able to get a VPS and a shared reseller with a good provider within or just over your budget.
