Best Provider for a Basic Testing Box?

Hello!
Basically I'm looking for a VPS that I can play around with and not have to worry about screwing something important up.
Requirements
- Decent Uptime - No SLA required, just something that won't always be down.
- Well-Known and/or Registered - I'd prefer if the company is well-known in this community or if the business is registered.
- Decent Specs - It's okay if it's a little bit oversold, but I'm looking for at least 512MB RAM.
Preferred
- US Location
- Decent Network
Cheers! Providers and members are both welcome to post!

I'd honestly go with digital ocean or iwStack so you get billed by the hour.
Sorry forgot to mention! US Location is preferred but not required.
I'd recommend RamNode from @NIck_A for sure - a crowd favorite about here, excellent performance and a great network. You won't be disappointed.
I'd say RamNode, Seattle or Atlanta for US locations.
RamNode or HTTPZoom (my favourite). Both I've had no problems with as far as downtime goes.
RamNode
I'd recommend RamNode - Use code WOWNUM1
RamNode all the way. You can have a DDoS-protected VPS at their Seattle location for an extra fee.
digitalocean
Get DO promo, and play around with it.

Thanks for the recommendations!
Currently, I'd go with DO, but I'll definitely go with @Nick_A / RamNode when they introduce hourly billing later this year.
