FAQ

How long does VPS setup take?
Your VPS will be setup INSTANTLY upon receipt of payment (unless we happen to be out of stock). KVM VPSs are available instantly, but you are responsible for installing the OS (KVM Guide).

How can I pay?
We accept PayPal and Stripe.

Do you have a money back guarantee?
We have a 3 day money back guarantee on your first invoice of your first service as long as your account is in good standing.

What's the best way to get help when I need it?
Our VPSs are unmanaged, but you can open a ticket for acceptable support requests. We are also available on Live Chat, Skype, and IRC.

What kind of hardware do you use?
We use Intel Ivy and Sandy Bridge CPUs, LSI RAID cards, Samsung, Kingston, and Intel SSDs, and Western Digital and Seagate enterprise HDDs.

How fast is your network?
Our VPS nodes are connected to the Internet at a minimum of 1Gbps. Your VPS can use all of that speed on a fair share basis.

Do you have any network tests?
Test IPs:
https://clientarea.ramnode.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=17

Test File Downloads:
https://clientarea.ramnode.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=18

What's the difference between SSD and SSD-Cached?
SSD-cached VPSs store "hot" data (data frequently called on by the server) in a RAID10 array of SSDs. These VPSs come with lots of hard drive space, but still have similar performance to an all-SSD VPS.

What operating systems are available?
We offer a variety of Linux 32 and 64-bit OS templates and ISOs.

Do you offer cPanel?
Yes, we are an official cPanel NOC. You can order a cPanel/WHM VPS license here.

Can I use my VPS for ___?
Please see our AUP.

What control panel comes with your VPSs?
Our VPSs come with the SolusVM control panel.

Do you provide remote backups?
Yes, we take remote backups of each VPS image on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the plan. We store one backup at a time, which can be restored upon request. Backups are not guaranteed and should not replace your own backups.

@Nick_A does it mean that people will get 20GB SSD (for 128m box) as "Double SSD Space" when they sign up for the new servers?

Btw, been a long time fan and love your service :)

  • @Nick_A Any chance to move from existing 128MB CVZ-E5 to 128MB SVZ (v2)?
    with less HDD of course..

  • Yes, I'm also wondering what @ironhide asked. It's not very clear for me. Thanks!

  • Dammit I've ordered too much from the Black Friday deal ... I'm done with this =D

    @ironhide @Grainga @hotsnow
I'm not Nick, obviously, but I'm pretty sure the plans above already reflect the doubled SSD space. My 512MB RAM SVZ came with 20GB, not 40GB.

    The v2 plans are new.

They've been around since like October 21st: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/15289/ramnode-38-off-for-life-new-svz-plans-w-double-ssd-space-from-1-24-mo-1-ssd-vps

For the 128mb svz 1 plan, the allocated disk space is 5gb. For the v2, the ssd space is "doubled" so 5 x 2 = 10gb

@Nick_A, I wonder if I can change my svz v1 to the ssd cached node? had a need for larger space recently.

I didn't mean that they were newly created for this offer...

@wcypierre I'm sure he'll help you out. I asked for the same with my 128 a few months back and he obliged.

  • I guess I'm just wondering why basically this same post was posted again. Perhaps I'm missing something. Nothing new here. Anyway, it's a great deal and a superior product and service!

  • Great deals here, all three locations...

  • Now I have 128CVZ, 256CVZ and 1GCKVM with RamNode, seems I am missing a 512 in my fleet... :P

  • @JerryHou Why do you need that much?

The plans are relatively new compared to how long we offered the others.

Thanks for the clarification! I figured it was a repeat -- performance like yours should definitely be posted again for folks to buy :D. All the best with the promotion.
