[2013 Review] Server Status Monitor Script/Tool from LET
In past week, I dug this forum threads from 2013/11~ 2012/12,
since I am not a English user,it's really hard to me,
but I really grateful since it give me a lot useful data/info.
Just a little feedback,about the light-weight monitor script/tool,
started or released from LET.
In my personal point,
light-weight monitor tool should just show me right now status clearly and fastly,
don't give the system overloading.so,it should with some e.g
basic info:
hostname,location,os info,cpu usage,ram usage,short term loading,hdd usage,network tx/rx;
extra info:
swap usage,hddtemp,uptime,vm platform,server reponsed(bacically http or ping),mission...
I can get the every machine with one or two line view.
long term or history data,maybe I would pass to other db base monitor/alert tools.
I thing maybe others here have better opinion.
I must say, It really hard to choice which one to use...
Hope I didn't lose someone, here is a good place...
Maybe and Hope they will become more powerful in next year

Number 14 for 20 minutes of work, Not bad. Be sure to run it with nohup or in a screen / tmux session
You can also do some cool stuff with it like interface with the cloudflare API to switch your A record of your website to a backup server.
Nice list. For fast online/offline VPS ping list check I still prefer stuff from @trexos and @clone1018
@trexos -> http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/12128/simple-php-ping-script-you-only-need-1-web-server/p1
@clone1018 -> http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/298181/#Comment_298181
Thanks. Glad to hear that
The only problem with these scripts is that this is not a real ping check. That means it opens a connection on a specific port and not ping the server
Use php exec or something to execute ping? Make sure you're aware of the security implications.
so many scripts thanks first of all
but which is better for ssh monitor?
