Best way to stress test a site
I have been using Nginx or Lighttpd for close to a year now. I really like it, especially when you compare it to Apache2. Just to keep on learning I want to start playing with, redis, varnish, haproxy and other performance boosters.
Problem is, my site is getting about 10 visits a day so I'm searching a way to stress test these setups to compare them.
Is there any app that is able to do this? Also is it legal. It wouldn't be the first time that someone is kicking of a stress tester, even if it is legit.
Thanks

You could try http://loader.io by SendGrid.
Apache JMeter
In our tech rada, http://grinder.sourceforge.net/ is the top name for load test a web app.
Apache JMeter is really just great. It has so many options, and a nice interface.
