@Maounique @ZeroCool @DalComp Which Node you are hosted on ?

  • MaouniqueMaounique Host Rep, Veteran

I dontknow, so far didnt manage to get access to solusvm. Is there another way to check ? I did a trace but iirc didnt say anything about node name.

  • Mahfuz_SS_EHLMahfuz_SS_EHL Host Rep, Veteran

Oops, Logged into My SolusVM Account & One of the VPS is showing offline which is hosted on LA2 Node ! O.o Performance is going to be bad ! Before being acquired by Root Level Tech, I didn't get a Single time of failure !

  • Mahfuz_SS_EHLMahfuz_SS_EHL Host Rep, Veteran

@Maounique How are you operating your VPS without SolusVM ? O.o

  • MaouniqueMaounique Host Rep, Veteran

Well, I got the vps for some friends in brazil to teach linux and hosting.
I gave them all data and forgot about it.
Lately, with the migration saga asked them how is it doing, they said was offline for weeks if not months.
They changed the passwords but forgot them :P So I asked a billing pass reset since i forgot it myself after some 9 months and didnt come, I asked a ticket to send me the pass they did after a few days, I managed to get in, but couldnt get in solus for same reasons and the password reset didnt work either. I asked a reset and they reset the billing again. With this occasion I logged in and saw the problem, the VPS had no IP assigned, this is why it didnt work since the previous migration, and they solved it, new IP was assigned, but then the move came again. This time I really needed an orlando VPS so this was perfect. it is working now, pretty well.
I only wanted to get into solus in order to reinstall with debian, my friends wanted to learn centos as they considered it is more suitable for hosting. But, since there is no hurry to reinstall, I can live without solus.

Undoubtedly, the Port Speed of One of My VPS at Houston got increased O.o

    wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash
    CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz
    Number of cores : 4
    CPU frequency : 1200.000 MHz
Total amount of ram : 768 MB
Total amount of swap : 256 MB
    System uptime : 10 days, 6:37,
    Download speed from CacheFly: 89.4MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 36.7MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 96.4MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 9.26MB/s
    Download speed from i3d.net, NL:
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 11.7MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 5.59MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 24.2MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 27.6MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 35.7MB/s
    I/O speed : 52.5 MB/s

Still, the I/O is Low ! 90-100 mbps would be normal ! And more than this on SATA Configuration can be considered as Bonus :D

@DalComp You have been allocated 300 MHz of Processor Core :v
& @Fran You 500 MHz, although E5-2620's every core is equal to 2000 MHz.
    & @Maounique How you been assigned to use 24 Cores ? O.o

I was wondering myself, i dont need them for sure, my load is around 1.2-1.4 constantly, but you dont look the gift horse in the mouth, from what i recall and from the package name it is 1 Gb ram, but i only have 512 MB, so, things are pretty hectic, more in some parts, less in others, it must be hard for them to sort all this mess up. As long as it works I cannot ask for more for these money.

You are right ! It's not RamNode that we can expect more :v Where's Nick ? @Nick_A Everyone is praising your service here & there. Keep it up. (Y)

Dont forget that ramnode prices are 3 times higher, you cannot have the same expectation. If my Amazon instance would become unavailable be sure I will scream at them from the top of my lungs, i will be very unhappy, but if urpad works, I am happy when it doesnt, well, tough luck.

@Maounique You are right but I can challenge you that I will pay the same amount to URPAD that I need at RamNode but still URPAD won't be able to give me that service ! ;-)

It is like saying, I can pay 400 k for a volkswagen passat but still wont deliver the performance a ferrari would for the same money.
Different markets different setups, different expectations.

:-P Right Indeed. But, the discussion I opened was the comparison between the Old URPAD & New URPAD ! The Old one was much better than now with Root Level Tech -_-
